It’s happening! They have only cut one wire and hit the gas line so far!

Ok been playing on B7100. Guy that lives up the road in the middle. Comes by I say this is a pain in the ass. He says did someone ask you to do it? (No I own it!) Nope a lot of silt coming down an filling up and causing water to run straight to the bridge ( not good). He said oh.
I am only responsible for 1/3 from my driveway to the main Rd. But like many people here I just want my ride smooth. So I just do it and ask for nothing :annoyed:.
My point is don't ask me if someone asked me to do it I own the road dude . Rant over. Gotta feed the K9 early she has a play date later:drunk::drunk:

You know the only ones that car a bout their vehicles are in this thread.

Everyone else just turns the key and hooks it into drive.

They don't care about, curbs, potholes, bumps and turn signals are a for losers.

Why would they give a shit about a bumpy drive?

Just why ask if your not going to help monetarily. I have had run ins with this guy before. Took him over 2 years to pay me back for bridge repairs. But he did pay so thankful for that.:spending:

I forgot the gal that lives at the top texted me while I was ranting and thanked me for doing the Rd out :rofl:

Update: Gal at the top of the road came down with redbone coon hound to play with my K9. And thanked me for grading the Rd. Both sides of the bridge. Payment made just by saying thanks.

Feel for ya bud. Sometimes those lines are not where they mark them. It almost feels like they do it on purpose.

So you got a culvert in.... Is that the only one you are gonna need? What's next?

Next is start bringing in a lot of gravel for the parking area up at the top. I want to do a concrete pad for my RV to hopefully start renting out for some extra income. I will need to put another culvert in myself higher up the driveway, but that won’t need anywhere near the amount of work.

No clue if it's the same in all states/utilities, but for us and the nat gas co it was a bit eye opening. Talking with the guy who located our line and it's pretty much a "it's somewhere within 36" of where we mark". Even two different guys marked that same line in different spots (still within 12-18" of each other but still). But that was what the locator they used to told. Power co was the same but think they were about tighter...like 24".

Only the petroleum pipeline guy actually found their line. But the locator they used was spot on too. He located it and then took a depth measurement for me. Just a metal rod he pushed down till it hit the pipe lol.

The Petro guy was also the easiest going too. Wanted to be there when we dug up by the pipe. Still let us use the mini ex for 99% of it and the shovel work he actually hopped in the hole and dug which was unexpected. The power CO wanted it all hand dug and the nat gas co wanted a vacuuming process (don't remember the name of it). Luckily the power was being replaced anyways so the electricians just turned the power off and went to town. Then we just hand dug around the nat gas line which of course wasn't close to where it was marked.

One thing I’d consider with your plans for the trailer is that you’ll be in class A CDL territory if you’re towing with a truck that’s got a GVWR over 12k since the trailer is 14k rated.

Thanks, my truck GVWR is 9,6++ and I have 24,000 lbs of tags on it. I don't plan on getting a heavier truck...don't want anything with emissions on it :D

I'm in a similar situation where I live. I think there are 7 houses on my road and especially during the winter months it can get really torn up. I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy with a mini ex and tractor so I'll grade it out a couple times a year without expecting anything in terms of payment but a good hearty "Thank you" is always a welcome form of payment.

They did a great job on my driveway. Have to wait until spring time for them to add asphalt.
