Alot of the ones I see must be cheap Amazon ones, because they are often flickering or not all on.

i have a spare key for my wheel lock in the tire kit, and one in my glovebox. because if a similar situation. got new tires on my truck the shop cracked the ring on my valve stem and it had a leak, came out after work and saw the flat. dropped the tire, a got the jack under the truck and went to grab the key... and guess what the shop didn't put back even with the note on the paperwork, "lug key in glovebox, put back in glovebox" got a new key ordered and now keep them

Got one key with my new lugnuts when getting different rims from stock. Keep that with my jack. Then when the dealership stripped my lugs, they bought me another set so I got a second key. I keep that one in my center console, and often put it out in the cubby next to my shifter when I take the truck into the dealership. A couple times they didn't have one to rotate my tires. Having a spare key is definitely a good idea.

that’s really surprising. Did you ask for a scs lug nut tool or a spline drive key? Most Les schwabs have boxes of them back by their lug nuts.

That’s surprising. The discount tire I go to has never had to use mine, I actually don’t think I ever tell them where it is.

Same here... but looking now I think I have a 6 spline, not 8 spline like he's talking about, so can't speak to that directly. But I would still put money on my local shop having one, and probably selling them, too. I've seen them at local auto parts stores, too.

They sell them! They could literally open the box, use the "key" and put it back.

I know the DT on Bothell-Everett Hwy has one, because they tried to sell me a whole new kit, when they didn't see mine in the back seat.

I explain to them it’s not a 6 spline generic one.
The discount tire guy said they don’t sell em or even have one. Unless he just don’t know shit.
    That might be the case.
Same thing with les swab. Explain to them it’s a 8 spline.
I don’t think it matter if I explain to them scs wheels. lol if they don’t know the brand and spline difference. We’re getting no where.
