I went from a fullsize to my taco, so I am familiar lol. I've driven fullsize trucks for a long time. I just prefer the smaller footprint of a midsize at this point.

Plus it fits in my garage lol.

I don't think you're going to convince anyone that your logic is sound, because its not. Your argument fights a case for yourself and for your specific needs, but its not generalizable, as others obviously point out in their counter arguments.

The truth is you're comparing apples to oranges, trying to act like they're both the same, when they're just simply not. Your logic is "I can get X for the price of Y, and X gives more performance in a certain area." Take this same logic and say I can get a 2 door coupe, super sporty track capable car for the price of a new tacoma. It has __ more HP, 0-60 so much better, etc. Its true, but its still comparing apples to oranges. Until you understand that, you're not going to accept why people are disagreeing with your logic. Midsize to full-size are different animals. While it makes sense for you to go full-size if they're at the same price, it makes sense for others to go midsize to suit their specific vehicle needs. If everybody wanted to be the same, we'd only have 2 types of vehicles: 1st gen tacomas and dirtbikes.

I thought they were ramping up production by moving workers from Lighting production to the Wayne plant. Can't see as many Ranger sales after discontinuing the supercab, that's what made up the majority of fleet sales.

Their truck was 44.4K if you subtract the chrome exhaust tip and predator steps.

I'd probably buy a Camry over a Rwd Tacoma if heated seats were the most important factor of my new vehicle purchase. Might hold it's value better too.

It would certainly drive to the mall a whole lot more efficiently and enjoyably than a truck lol.

That would be what I would want if I pass on the Taco. With the FX4 package. Would be nice for a dedicated Tremor package like the F150 but it is just a rumor as far as I know for 2025.

Lariat with the V6TT and FX4 is what I am looking for. I am assuming the Lariat will have more or just as much payload as a Tremor. Tremor would be great if payload is good. Price would probably suck though.

Be really great the to get the V6TT on less than a Lariat too if we are dreaming still.

They complained about passing power a mile above sea level while towing. They’d absolutely hate the gutless 3rd gen with its awful trans tuning if they compared them back to back.

You can get low mpg in a Prius if you drive poorly enough, the fact it can achieve 24 with ease while going 80 mph is what matters.

I’ve towed a boat (somewhere around 3,500 lbs) with my 1st gen rated at 5k and with my dad’s Ram 1500. You can feel it back there in either truck but I’d 100% rather tow with the Ram.

For efficiency your truck may have done worse on their test, since they were testing passing power and climbing in elevation. More power means more gas burned, if they have to overcome drag from that trailer then they may need to burn a similar amount of fuel to a 3rd gen. Daily driving is where you’ll see the biggest gain in mpg

No doubt about the unladen MPG's. And 1 YT video isn't going to make or break me on my decision, it's just disappointing it didn't do better than it did given Toyota shrunk the tank. I do not live a mile above sea level, so I will wait for more info.

I hope to God that it’s available without a hybrid, that it’s not just a scaled down Sequoia platform because if I wanted a Sequoia, I’d buy a damn Sequoia, and I have no idea how this fits in with the new Land Cruiser Prado that they are going to be selling alongside it.
