Reviving. I also have a 1.5-2" lift. Probably closer to 1.5" since my leafs are old. Think I should get 5100s vs 5125s? I am worried about the collapsed length.

Re-read posts on this thread it goes over all of it.

I'm short, only you with a measuring tape will be able to figure out if 5125s will work for your setup.

Unless you are running a thick aftermarket leaf pack I doubt they will work tbh without significantly spacing a bumpstop which is dumb as that will just limit up travel.

    Again. Go out and measure

So, the 5100s are too short and 5125's are too long - I should go buy Tundra 5100s... Sounds stupid to me but what do I know.

What do your measurements tell you?

Tacoma 5100/4600's for the rear (they are identical just different finish and color - valving and specs are the same) are not "too short" they just wont droop out as far as longer options.

The limiting factor with the factory shock mounts will always be collapsed length of the shock - and that measurement varies depending on how thick your leaf pack assembly is including any blocks/spacers/degree shims and how tall your bumpstop is at full compression.
