I haven't tried that one. But I have Rustler XVL and Stampede XVL. (Both are brushless). I use Rustler more than I use Stampede.

I am planning to get new one later.

My friend picked one up over the summer and that thing's awesome. It rips and handles well. Couldn't ask for much more than that. The only issue we've run into with the smaller scale short course trucks is they hate grass.

That's why you need to replace the plastic parts with metal parts... plastic parts break.

I used to race with others but they hit me.. they pay for repairs. I don't do that anymore. I go solo for now.

I wish that some of these companies like FMS would make 1/10 hard bodies that are licensed. Make something scale and rad that we can use on a 1/10 crawler! The 1/8th scale FJ is awesome, its too fcking big. We need more options than RC4wd. Too big, too small. Wtf.

I think I saw a video somewhere that shows the Glacier body is the same as the FMS, and in fact there is a sticker on the tailgate of the Glacier that when removed, reveals the Chevrolet stamping, just like the FMS. Or maybe the other way around.
But that was a year ago, so not exactly sure.

Just bought my first two RC cars a week ago.. I'm completely lost on the modifications LOL! Someone correct me if I am wrong but generally, I can run a larger battery as long as it's the same voltage?

I also bought oil filled shocks for my sons truck, the Haiboxing 18859, if anyone is familiar and has any suggestions for other useful upgrades we can do together.

Yep, as long as the voltage or "s" rating stays the same, your fine. A lot of times you can even bump it up a level as long as you're not consistently maxed out on the throttle. All the mAh rating does is give you more run time. If you notice a C rating, the higher that is, the faster the power will flow for lack of a more technical explanation.

Great, thanks. I did buy some high mAh batteries in an attempt to get more run time for his truck, they won't be here until monday though so we will see. I also bought a battery bag, not sure if it's really needed without some real high flow/power batteries but figured it was worth the 10 bucks.

Been a minute since I've been on TW but had to check out my go to threads. Some cool stuff going on in here. As if I don't have enough things to work on I pre-ordered this Tamiya(it will be my first on-road r/c). I couldn't pass it up considering I have this exact car in a 1/18 scale metal die-cast upload_2024-2-28_13-7-38.png

TT-01s are a hoot! So simple and fun for what they are. Plus if you have a local on-road track they may have a spec TT-01/02 class to run it in. If that's not your bag, then there are TONS of aftermarket parts available for them.

I finally pulled the trigger on the r34 tt02d kit.... I've wanted it for a while and finally tossed it in the cart with some other needs I had... It will be built the first snowy weekend in March, if we get one.

You guys know any good mounts for your phone to attach to the transmitter? I wanna try recording some of my runs, but I don't have a good way of holding my phone while I drive my rig. lol

1080 RC/fpv cams are dirt cheap these days. I say get one of those, plus a pair of mounts that allows you to choose between TX and buggy. It would get you some more interesting videos that way, with no awkward phone weight.
