I think he is telling you it’s. A $6400 kit but not a new price. And that it’s in the pics. That’s how I read it

Someone on FB marketplace stole the pics from my Tundra s/c ad and reposted it as for sale...careful on the FB. My ad was already removed as sold, not sure when they got the pics

 

Yah FB is super sketch. eBay at least has guarantees.

 

$3k isn't bad at all! Not quite 1800 but you could always complain if it's missing something and he may discount it further lol

 

Could just be a wording issue at best. Worst is obviously intended fraud. I super rarely if ever use Facebook and someone was using my pictures to sell a supercharger. Good thing the fraudster lacked some brain cells as my truck was super identifiable and others from this forum knew it was my truck from the pictures. They inquired if I was selling the supercharger, I said no and the guy was banned from the local offroading/Toyota group. If y'all do try and get it I would use like a CC or something to protect you.

Just ordered a gates fleetrunner belt for my 2.8 pulley, going to have to cut some ribs off to make it work, anyone gone this route? Any longevity issues with slicing the belt? Fraying?

 

I'm running stock on a 2.7

5pk1790 and the gates coming, ill see which one the tensioner likes the most. Rotors and bearings are finally on the way. Planning engine swap and blower install next weekend. Already warned my wife she wont see me much

 

I would get the RPM belt so you don’t have to cut it

 

I have the gates RPM belt from page one and a 2.8 stealth pully, no slippage so far.

 

I haven’t had any issues running trimmed Fleetrunner belt on my 2.7 w/Rousch tensioner. Not high mileage but been trouble free for years.

 

I think the RPM belts are being discontinued.
I cut ribs off a Fleetrunner. Has worked fine through a few different belts. Place a new utility blade in a device *VICE and slowly pull the belt through the blade with the desired number of ribs on one side. Save the other side to hang calipers or spindles while working on the front end.
