For the peeling super whites, what should I sand with to wrap the areas?

Title, looking to slap some white vinyl around the back window sill of a 2012 super white like a bandaid for water as it's peeling more and more, and was wondering what I should sand with to get the surface smooth-ish for wrapping? Or if y'all have any other ideas for the job. went with vivivid+ gloss white and am hoping for a somewhat decent match.

Curious to know how it works out for you.

thinking about trying Shiny Car Stuff on my clear faded silver

buddy worked in paint and what not advised me if I decide to wrap wetsand 1000-2000grit to level surface first
Hopefully that alone could make it smooth, slippery, etc to help apply the wrap
Unless it would benefit from more things done on top of that
But yeah likely a fine wetsand at a minimum, and not too harsh/low of a grit

Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes, fingers crossed my dumbass doesn't over-do it. But either way, its maybe an inch tall section over the entire bottom portion of one of my rear windows, so it shouldn't be too distracting if I just slapped it on anyway

$250/door honestly doesn't sound bad. I'd pay happily $1000 to have all 4 doors not peeling
