    Hell all!

My 2015 DC doesn't have cab vents behind the rear seats! I noticed when I took out the rear storage to dynamat that part of the cab.

In the car wash with the fan on, the truck blows bubbles around the drivers sideview mirror at the window seal.

Just wondering why my truck doesn't have rear cab vents and if there are other vents I don't know about and this is typical?

Unless someone removed it and welded up the rear of the cab you have a vent back there.

Based on photos of other trucks, I am quite sure that I do not. No cuts no patches and no vents. I just put sound dampening on the whole thing.

Just removed the trays again for ya.

The vents are vertically oriented on the sides of the back wall if I remember right. If you look between the cab and bed from the outside you will see them.

I used to make 3D scans of taco interiors and I can indeed confirm some tacoma do not have cab vents.

my understanding is that when the door closes there is a pressure increase in the cab. I imagine this could be a bit uncomfortable on the ears so there is a one way vent (what the OP is describing).

this is only required on the access cabs due to smaller cab volume.

my 2014 DCSB doesn’t have one but the access cabs iv scanned do.

I have two Tacomas parked at my house right now. They both have what looks like to be a visible vent in the upper center of the rear of the cab between the bed and cab.

Mine, the only one I have permission to take apart doesn't have the vent on the wall.

It looks like 1st gens had them on the very outside edges of the rear of the cab. 3rds have 2 from what I can tell.

    Oh well!

We do have a cabin vent in the rear. It's hard to reach from inside (behind and above the seatbelt tensioner) but you can see the vent from the outside looking between the cab and bed. It's vertically oriented on the outer passenger side and roughly 1' below the rear window. Mine is leaking and I'm wondering if it's possible to remove for maintenance without taking off the bed.

Thanks for the info. I did find them there, so thanks for confirming... As for replacement... I haven't done the ones on the tacoma, but I did do them on a 20 year old chevy and there was just enough room to sneak in there and pop them out like a battery tray cover on a tv remote. Getting them back in was harder, especially with fresh seals. I ended up doing it from under the truck and reaching up and just barely getting them clicked in.

Guess I'll keep trying. It seems the top is notched in and you have to slide the vent down but there isn't enough spage to do so. I did get the bottom to pop out

My 2014 has a vent a little ways down on the passenger side of the back of the cab. It's black and you can see the plastic edge of it a little in from the rounded edge of the cab.
