You never know til you get eyes on it but in my wifes Mdx I was once about to turn and into the brakes, ran over wood chips that flung themselves up and wedged the caliper partially closed. I started hearing a rotational metal on metal squeak and sure as heck I crawl up in there and the wood chip was perfectly sideways just wide enough to keep it partially closed. You never know. Reminds me of the sub reddit r/justrolledintotheshop

Growing up we used all sorts of products used for animals or we would have done without.

I would trust things more for animals then people these days.

I think we found the problem.

    KIMG3808.jpg

It even clogged up my vac.

    KIMG3811.jpg

Wanting to be a bit farther from "the action" I rigged up a temporary T-stat.

When it comes to woodworking pretty much anything, I can complicate the simplest.

Take, for example, a frying pan handle I saw online and said "I can make that, no problem".

The 1st attempt worked okay, but was cross grain and cracked when I expanded the nutsert. No problem. On the second attempt, the scrap of wood was slightly thinner, so I cut the flange off the nutsert to keep it flush, used an aluminum one hoping it wouldn't crack the wood, and tried again. This time the nutsert wouldn't grab and just spun, so I couldn't tighten the handle. I dug through my hardware and found a little threaded plug, trimmed it to length, threaded the wood, countersunk a spot on the insert and for now all seems good. Simple!

Cheapest easiest way to shorten a safety chain. I hadn’t thought about if I trade trucks in the next 2-3 years and we still have this camper. No knots, but 1/8” S hooks!

When I first lit the pilot yesterday there was kind of a vague smell, it seemed familiar.
I distractedly wondered if the neighbors were burning garbage.

When the main burner came on though -- it was so bad I could taste it...

    ...for a long time... :puke:

I did it for years - after they left I did what was needed instead of what they wanted and nobody ever noticed. :)

Fun physics party trick... i have done it several times and, is kinda safe too!
Go to the gas stove and turn on a burner, rub your hair with a balloon for a few seconds, stick your finger close to the burner and boom! Gas ignites from static discharge!
Um, timing is everything with this trick lol.

    Re: Chisel Sharpening...
I sharpen my chisels sharp, but not as sharp as a knife. For me it's too easy to take out what should be still there. My chisels can shave wood but not hair. Anyone else?
