    I just got her back.
Took the guy almost 3 weeks(I think he forgot about it, honestly). But, she looks, feels & sounds great.
He even cleaned up the soldering on the volume pots. He showed me a photo that he took, they were coming loose.

    Dimebucker(Bridge position) installed.

Now, I’m just trying to crank out every Motörhead, Bad Religion, Social Distortion & Pantera riff I can recall.

My work has been pretty chaotic lately. So I ended up running to pick her up during my lunch yesterday. And I only had about 20 minutes to play once I got home.

I love the action and the way the neck/fret feels now. It feels like a new guitar!
As far as sound; I’m enjoying it. It’s like a thicker Motörhead guitar sound.
    Think of Phil Campbell’s guitar sound from the *Bastards* album;
    https://youtu.be/vrvfHXknys4?si=__fRQ8GJuduwTCv1

I’m playing through an Orange Crush 35RT.
And I love a dirty, heavy saturation sound.
I had the guy put Ernie Ball Power Slinky’s on (11/14/18/28/38/48).

I will happily report back once I get more time with the guitar.

In the short time I’ve had with her since I got her back, I am happy though.

Where are you guys getting tabs from?

I pretty much only use Ultimate guitar because i accidentally bought a 1 year sub but thats about to expire in a couple days.

There's a 75% sale for UG right now. Is it worth it or is there a better source for tabs?

ultimate guitar gets the job done, but does not help with the nuances of a song if you are trying to play note for note. Most of the time if I want a walk through for a specific section of song I am having trouble figuring out, I will pull up a youtube video walk through of the song and get a little better insight that way.

I've asked a few people since posting that and the general consensus I've gotten is that UG is a good tool but not worth paying for.
Youtube seems to be everyones go to for actually learning songs. Also ears but I'm not there yet lol.

I'm on a mission to learn a bunch of songs this year. I feel like I plateaued practicing the same crap over and over.

I use anything I can find, but I have a paid app called Songsterr that's pretty handy a lot of the time. It's not very expensive and their support is awesome.

Truthfully, I really don't play much anymore, but the handful of songs I did try to learn from tabs, the tabs always seemed to be "wrong". Aside from tabs sometimes flat out being wrong, often times they were right, but not right for me - meaning oftentimes I watched YouTube videos and found 'better' ways to play the same thing.
I'm most definitely not saying shy away from tabs; keep using them. But definitely venture over to youtube and train your ears/eyes too, without tabs. Both are useful skills, but I never found any tab site that was worth paying for when theres so many other free resources out there already.

Youtube can be hit/miss as far as accuracy to the original songs. I usually check Marty Music first. He's a great teacher. Also, Justin Guitar is pretty good too. I learned Brothers in Arms watching him. I'm pretty sure I'm responsible for a few hundred views of that video.

I've been using Justin guitar for lessons. He's pretty good. i just don't watch them enough.
I did get a bunch of Marty music lessons for free but haven't had a chance to look at any yet.

I think Justin is, overall, better than Marty. Marty is good but sometimes glosses over a few things that are difficult and could use more detail.

was debating buying a buddy's Les Paul, but then i dug out my Eclipses and (again) came to the conclusion that the black ESP is the best single-cut type guitar i've ever had.

on the note of practicing, Stringjoy put out a 30 day guitar challenge on their YouTube channel. good info on techniques and a fun refresher course that opened me up to different ways of thinking about things.

Starting to like the sound of closed back cabs vs open. I got a 10" celestion creamback in a closed cab, sounds awesome. I keep going to it now.
