Yeah I'm a 63 year old senior with adhd. when I was younger a little weed really helped with it, just slowed me down enough to be somewhat normal and not get so easy distracted. Unfortunaty I haven't been able to use it for 30 years because I have a cdl license and they random rest for it all the time. But when I retire I'll be able to get my brain somewhat normal again. My girl like to use the term squirrel? Because when where shopping I'll just stop and look at something or wander off, lol. Being in .y woodshop is also great for me because I can tune out the world and just concentrate on one thing, it's very refreshing.

wonder if that would help the gal im talking to. she has bad adhd and gets ticks (mild form of Tourette's basically) when near lots of people from her social anxiety.

I'd tread carefully, just fair warning. it can definitely help, but I know a lot of people who only smoke when solo because it worsens their social anxiety in a group setting. I may be more of an exception than a rule, as I've been smoking fairly consistently since about 18yo, so I'm much more functional than most.

If she's never done it before, I'd maybe start her with some very low dose edibles if they're legal in your state and see how she handles those first.

At 33 years old, I've taken most of the ADHD meds at one time or another. Every one of them the same--feeling like a damn zombie with no motivation to do the stuff I like to do. That shit is awful for you too. Something about medications called "-amphetamine" gives me the ick.

People can't comprehend when I tell them I smoke weed so I can concentrate on one thing at one time. lol

ya very true she has talked about it but doesnt have the money or tbh good insurance so atm she sadly just deals with it and when its bad its bad... so we normally will just go to private calls to get away from a group
okay as much as i like retro bikes imma have to say no on that one... i really like the modern look but as others have said this is the beauty of motos they are all different so we can all like different things and still get along for the most part.

dude for real ive taken a few different meds for adhd when i was younger and one just made me go on a roid rage after it wore off to the point i was just plain awful... the other was the most common it starts with an A i cant think of how its spelt lol. it would help me but i was very boring and straight faced with everything didnt really have much of a personality unless i didnt take it but then id struggle to focus.. now i cant do any of the stuff you all do since im government but ive also grownout of the really bad habits i had as a kid thankfully...

Just got back from a ride on the klx300. When about 45 miles with about 5 off-road. The exhaust sounds perfect with the baffle. The seat concept seat is amazing. Had 0 hot spots , nothing pushing into my legs, nice grip seat material. I feel like I could easily go all day on this seat.
Bike ran real well with the Barkers full system, EHK fuel controller, secondary throttle plate removed, no air box lid and one tooth up front sprocket. For me the bike is running and riding exactly how I want. The one and only thing wrong is the blinker by the exhaust is melting. It still works but I will see if I can get some smaller ones .

Bike is looking great! Another +1 to seatconcepts seats. I have one on the super tenere as well as the xt, both are AWESOME.

Whelp my suspicions were indeed correct. The clutch that was in the xt225 had seen a good chunk of abuse. I have seen worse in other bikes (not mine), but this clutch has definitely seen some heat via its previous owners. I also have a hunch that someone had been in at least clutch deep at some point in its past, some markings on the counter balance shaft for alignment that aren't oem, a couple tool marks here and there and some extra holes on the inner clutch basket that didnt look stock (which can be a common mod to help smooth engagement/disengagement of wet sump clutches).

Seeing the condition of the clutch im hopeful that the new clutch that i put in also helps with shifting into and out of neutral once warm while stopped.

Check out the difference in coloring of the steel clutch plates of the 3 middle ones vs the 2 outers. Even that associated fiber friction disks that mated to those steel disks had some extra color.

This fiber disk got hot enough to bubble the adhesive.

Internals. Everything inside looked quite clean with minimal wear. You can see the written numbers on the crank gear and counter balance shaft gears right around where they are meshed in this pic. Also interesting to see a counterbalance shaft in a small single cylinder (especially one designed in the mid 80s). It definitely helps to keep this motor surprisingly smooth through all rpms.

I've been on that too. It's wierd, they give you time released speed to calm your mind down. Whenever I have to take my dot test or a random piss test I had to have my prescription bottle with me to show that it was prescribed to me. Dot frowns on amphetamines, lol. A little weed is far better than any amphetamines in my opinion. And I do mean a little, just to help with the symptoms, not to be cheech and Chong stoned, lol.

Just add the lower lip panel and it looks like a fully faired bike. It is also a twin putting out 52HP. 9HP more than the 2024 bike, and the old bike only weighs about 10 pounds more. Different strokes for different folks I agree. I can't stand that all the new Kawasakis look alike, and the designer feels the need to put some sort of angle on every inch of the bike.

the lower lip does make it look better also the new one has 51hp? so its only 1 less and its lighter plus fuel injected so it will be faster and snappier plus modern tech. i can see what you mean on making them all look alike but i personally dont mind it on this one since it makes it look pretty cool in my mind. now if they made a retro variant of it as well would be cool with all the old school look with modern tech

Sold my Gt500 and took a Harley as part trade. It's a low mileage 2004 low rider with some questionable style choices.

First Harley or cruiser that I've owned, the riding position feels a bit odd but I've had fun tinkering with it.

The paint isn't my style so all the tins are getting repainted in a Lexus dark blue.

So far I've picked up a standard rear fender from ebay, progressive 444 shocks, Arlen ness 15" rotor, DS fork brace, saddlemen seat and set of used screaming eagle slip-ons.

Took the R3 out for a short run today. Bike ran perfect. One thing that I need to do is LOOSE SOME FREAKING WEIGHT. I’m a fat ass right now. I could barely zip up my heated jacket liner. I had a hard time zipping up my leather pants and my jacket was tight. I was so uncomfortable that I will now start to loose weight. In reality I need to drop around 30+ lbs. I am 5’8 1/2” and weight 210. I need to be around 175 .
