Barcelona brothers at Shaws today.

That sucks, hopefully the crash bar under the plastic bumper held up!

 

Other than the plastic, nothing else looks damaged. I guess I won't know until I take the bumper cover off. I think having the lift helped.
Maybe now is a good time to look into a steel bumper.

 

The first batch of stuff I ordered from Amazon came today. I put one canister under the hood of my truck and one under the hood of my wife's RAV4. There was no evidence of nesting under my hood, but there was under her's. The dealer did a good job repairing the injector wire that had been chewed through and cleaned out as much of the debris as possible. Some had fallen down in the area under where the oil fill is. I tried to vacuum that out, but to do that right would require some disassembly that I was not going to attempt.

I got a set of MaGill Forceps that I had left over from when I was a working paramedic and picked the nuts and shells out by hand. There's still a bit of shell down there, but it's much cleaner than it was.




The tech repaired the wiring, they didn't think that a new piece of harness was needed. I'm sure that saved me quite a bit of money. Car starts up and runs fine, no trouble codes.

I also bought some packets of repellent to toss in the garage for when she parks in there. I'll spray the Grandpa Gus repellent under the hood tomorrow or whenever it's not raining.

Hopefully your hitch took most of the hit. By comparison, that Elantra looks f'up! I am surprised I don't see coolant on the ground!

 

You can see where the hitch bent up her radiator. It wasn't leaking, but it was hissing. When she first got out of the car, she thought I had no damage at all and wanted to drive away!

I talked to the owner of the store that I purchased it. He showed me the computer and how it works. I need to go to the store where I tried cashing it and I’ll find my answer

@Chasespeed I was thinking about your post the other day asking about office gigs. Drove by my neighbors house, roofing crew up there this morning. Throwing shingles at 25°F.

I'm sure they might have thought "look at that poor bastard going to spin in a hamster wheel at the office", and that's fair, but got damn was I not jealous of working outside today.

Yeah, I agree. There are a couple problems with office work for me, ME being the first problem not-withstanding....
I REALLY like my paycheck and bennies. When I discuss numbers, that is usually the turn off. Most of these places want someone with my experience, background, creds, etc, for HALF of what I make, and I wont even touch the benefits. If I'm doing that, I'm going to go back to a lower cost of living area, and cut ties.... can't do it in this overpriced region.
I have some more meetings next week, but, it appears, ill continue to do what I do, how I do it. The PT is getting in the way, and it's hard to do my job with the restrictions...
But, it is what it is.

I appreciate that. I really enjoy what I do, and very invested in my industry. That's why I'm trying to be selective on positions.

The only way this is possible, if somebody previously scratch the bottom right barcode enough to reveal it to cash it.

You guys both need to watch out for the other scam… The clerk working the register has a losing ticket, and when you say check this for me, they scan the losing ticket it says "not a winner" and you're like OK you walk away… They pocket you're winning ticket for their friend to cash at a different place later.

 

She didn't put her phone down at all during the whole incident. She was either asking Siri for help, or on a collect call with get BF. I didn't even know you could make a collect call from a cell phone.
