Misfire?

    2009 2wd, auto, access cab, 4 cyl
    Sporadically truck will begin to misfire badly seemingly on all cylinders to the point that it won't accelerate. Turn off ignition and after 10 seconds or so restart and it runs fine. Happens infrequently, when engine is hot or cold. Triggers engine light. Dealer was unable to find anything wrong, as it was not doing it when I had it in. Been happening for months now, but sometimes only one time in 2 weeks; other times a couple times in 1 day. Any ideas"

    STOCK
    Swap #1 coil to #4.
    See if the misfire goes to cylinder #4

    Or swap the #1 plug to cylinder 2 or 3. Check that plug for carbon tracking too.
    But I haven't seen many cases of sporadic spark plug failure.
    I'm curious if the boot from #1 shows signs of oil contamination.
