TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I had at least 1 fleetrunner I cut start to slip off, after I put the RPM on i have had no issues. Coudl have been the pulley was slightly off as I did shim it later on but ever since then I only did RPM. Picked up a couple when I did.

 

too bad we technically cant run that but stock belt would be nice.

yes CA thing since technically its altered for the CARB EO Same as the Pulley. Prob one of those things that if they don't notice it, then it's not a big deal, but you're supposed to slap that sticker on with the belt/pulley path so it's obvious if they look at it.

 

I should make some custom ones that have the extra pulley on it.

 

After the screw snapped off the last time I had to take the pulley off I'm scared to do it again lol

I cut a fleetrunner for my 2.8 with zero issues. Been running just fine with no fraying.

Never got around to installing this guage pod for the door sail panel.

 

Any word on why Gates is discontinuing the RPM belt? Is it just ours or is it across the board?

 

Across the board. I have not heard or read reasons why.

 

damn should have bought more of them. I had found them pretty cheap when I bought. def out of stock and they were all priced doule too.

 

Regarding the gates RPM belts,, I found several places in England and Europe that have lots of the belt we need. But they do not ship to the US. I asked them if they would make an exception if I bought like 20 or more, and nope. So we need someone with a family or friend in the main part of UK or Europe, to receive a shipment, and then forward it to us in the US. Getting something like 20-30 in a box, then mark up accordingly and sell to all us guys that need one and want to buy a spare. Or three. It could be profitable for someone, even at a price that the end customer thinks is a good deal....

saw one long ago s/c' made i believe 425hp.

 

It has no tag on it so I only drove it down the service road. Feels very very strong. I would never romp on a customer's car unless they were there with me so didn't really get to open it up

 

agreed. my neighbor wrenches and refuses to drive my truck.

 

nice the last place on eBay I bought was. uk shop. Maybe it was the same. I could ask someone. A guy in my team just moved back to the states but I bet I could get one of his buddies to rally.

 

i may have an rpm 69" for small pulleys. ill check and post.
