Our Costco Visa effectively pays us $100 per month to use their card.

Which means we spend entirely too much.

Got contracted to drill and tap an exhaust manifold stud. Decided it was easiest to just cut out the firewall. Made it easy to drill the stud out.

New patch panel out of a $4 cookie sheet. Splurged for the Teflon version.

Some years ago I was at The Club buying a paper shredder, the cashier asked me if I wanted to apply for their Master Card, I said no.

She said "it takes less than a minute and you get an instant $50 off your purchase..."
    o_O !

I said "yes" - and got my $50 off. :)

The better part, this card pays 5% on gasoline, purchased anywhere all the time - I buy a lot of gas and that 5% adds up. I had enough to buy a pressure ($99) for $6.
Score one for the good guys!:thumbsup:

Pay the card off every month.

We buy gift cards with our points CC at Kroger.

Every Kroger purchase awards fuel points for $ off per gallon of gas.

They offer incentives to shop on low traffic days by giving 4x points. Your points are multiplied 4 times. We try to shop those days.

After 1000 points you get a dollar off for up to 35 gallons of gas.

It doesn't take long to spend $250 at a grocery store, even less if you buy givt cards.

So we get cheaper gas and rebate money from the CC.

We call it a double win.

    Not home.

Neighbor at the camp ground owns a vacation rental house in downtown Charlotte.

The 47 jeep is his hobby project. He was stumped on getting that stud out.

He found out that I do this kind of thing and asked me to take a look at it.

I suggested that we cut out the firewall, drill and tap the block and weld in a patch.

It worked great and it needed done anyways, the firewall was full of random holes that needed filled anyways.

I do have to say the Jeep had some very thick sheetmetal. Made the job much more easy.

Good morning friends! Have a great Friday :hattip:

Was just looking at my retirement folder and if I keep on like I'm going I'll be able to retire at 97 with 11 minutes to do whatever I want with the $3.29 I have left :bananadance:
