Nice I've been thinking of going with the same wheel and tire size but have been trying to decide between the -12 or -38 mm offset.

Havent been able to upload pics in a while, so Im a little back logged on recent projects

Knocked out a quick fishing rod holder out of scrap in the garage
    20230826_155225.jpg

Added some light under the hood
    IMG_20240206_181036_005.jpg

And a gmrs radio so I dont have to fumble with a handheld walkie anymore on the trail
    20240202_234642.jpg

Heres the little bracket I made thats double sided taped to the inner lip of the overhang on the console, next to the climate controls.
    20240201_234947.jpg

Replaced a broken fog light, and put on a yellow tint film while I had them out.
    20231121_193019.jpg

Then before christmas i backed into a tree (pole) on a trail (parking lot) and did a number on the driver rear.
    20231212_161510.jpg

However im fortunate to have a good friend who does body work for a living, i painted some parts for his car and in trade he straightened mine right out. Even saved the bumper. All in all I only had to replace the tail light, and i scored a great deal on that from a friendly local taco buddy, shout out to Fernando..

That rear bumper "trail damage" would nearly cause a total loss on a 3rd gen.

Is the 3rd gen not basically the same underneath the plastic?

I hear -38 is a pain to clear without rubbing.

NO. Pre-gens, 1st gens and 2nd gens have real steel rear bumpers. I was rear ended in a 2nd gen a few years ago, while sitting at a stop light, by a kid running 25 mph. He never hit the brakes. His car was a total loss and it took over 45 minutes to sweep up the pieces of his car. It took me 15 minutes to polish his paint off of my rear bumper. It left a softball size dent in my bumper. My neighbor was rear ended at 35 mph in a 2020 Off Road. It buckled the frame and his truck was a total loss. The rear bumpers on 3rd gens are mostly plastic and the frame has crumple zones that are meant to buckle to absorb the energy. 2nd and 3rd gens are not the same. I see 3rd gens get destroyed by, what 2nd gens would consider, minor rear impacts.

I'm slowly swapping out my Rigid and Baja stuff for Diode Dynamics. It also gave me a chance to clean up the wiring in the truck.
