I could probably get my friend in London to bring them to the US on a flight and then ship from Vegas or his destination in CA. He’s a fellow car nerd (even though he likes driving old, slow cars fast) and would understand the desire.

He’s flying to the US in early April.

I also know someone on the inside at Gates US… I may be able to work the magic through that route.

Unfortunately my help starts and ends on a continental US scale. Anything external and I have no connects, so I'd be as useful as the next guy as far as that goes.

Why do all the good things keep going away man?! It's freaking stupid.

Apparently so. We'll have to build our own belts using dental floss and rubber pour machines at some point.

All the recent Harbor freight commercials I’ve been seeing lately have a guy with a vintage (60s/70s) Bronco driving and parking in the lot. It looks to be restored and I hope it has a built engine…

I can't leave anything well enough alone
yes please, either route. Have your buddy price it out and understand the cost of getting a couple dozen shipped to him, bringing an extra suitcase if needed, and dropping with someone in this thread to pay him for his time/effort, and then can distribute to all of us. I'm sure we could make a list of people that would buy one right away. But if you had a stash of them, after supplying the fine people on this thread who want one for a reasonable price of course, you could put an add up on EBAY and make a killing on the rest of them I would think...

In parallel, please reach out to someone at Gates! I wonder if they still make them, but not for the US market... would be good to find someone who can help on the inside, to get some belts located. I know there are a bunch on here that would buy one.

I had fun with FI E36s but on the 6cyl platform not the M44. But I do recall some stuff that I read back in that era. What's your question?

Just starting research on a project for next winter. I'm looking at kits that use Eaton, AMR500, or sc14 superchargers but not sure what the pros/cons are of the different options.

Also wondering if a turbo setup would be worth looking into...but I'd like to avoid turbo lag. Not looking for huge power (200-250whp would be adequate).

Bad news for new NSX owner. Found out he paid almost 70k for it and had it shipped here. Wouldnt start on arrival, seemd to be flooded from numerous cold starts, got it to start by holding pedal to floor.

Ok cool, still hard to start, then starter started just clicking. No big deal, 1991 honda oe starter just needs some new contacts. I rebuilt starter.

Got it to run again and shes running bad. Popping, backfires, no power. Smells lean.

Started again a few minutes later and runs great.

My guess it this is a build from the early 00's, as a vortech setup on this car is non exsistent on the interwebs. Dali speed parts all over the engine including vortech fit kit, apparently dali speed went under a long time ago. Ecu looks oe with no sign of any sort of fuel management other than some fat RC injectors. Id say hes got another 10k to get this thing right at a proper speed shop. Also supercharger at idle sounds awful. Lots of clacking.

Parts for this car are non exsistent other than fleabay or nsx forums. Even if I had this car id be scared to drive it for the fact if something breaks from age its not replaceable.
