I've had many service vans over the years but this my first pickup. Retired and didn't need a van anymore so got a pickup. I live in WI and found a nice, clean of double cab short bed TRD Off Road that had spent its whole life in CA. It has a few scratches, and the paint is sun baked but looks great from 10 feet. I have replaced the headlights, driving lamps, mud flaps and installed a tow hitch and wiring harness. I plan to add a tonneau cover and address some of the paint issues when the weather warms up. My grandson just purchased a new to him Gen 2 Tacoma so we plan to learn a lot more about these trucks together. Glad to be here.

Welcome fellow Wisconsinite. If you search around you will find a few threads with other Tacoma owning Wisconsin residents.

Clean and treat your frame to protect from road salt. Lots of threads around on technique and product choices.

First thing I did was to spray the frame thoroughly with Fluid Film.
