I don't know. I just have a weird thing where I call it like I see it.
If I own something, I'll tell you how it is. I won't fabricate, or embellish it, to make it sound better.
If anything, I will tell you all about the flaws.

Afterall, I paid for "all" of it.
I'll tell you about "all of it"

    Yeah.
I currently own and have owned multiple vehicles with the 4.0. And never would I put 35's on any of them. You do you, though.

I've been running a 6" RC lift in my truck on 35's for several years now and beat the snot out of it. Haven't had any problems whatsoever. I've made improvements to it such as ditching the 4" rear blocks and going with AllPro Expo leafs and Vertex shocks since the shocks that come with the kit suck.

I can understand that, much like the same way I would never put an "overlanding bro lifestyle vehicle" Instagram bed rail setup on my Tacoma, don't forget the red colored shackles. You do you, though.

It doesn’t really matter what OP does.
I could care less, the only reason for my first post was to point out the potential loss of power and torque with the 36”.

Sometimes people don’t know the affects of modifications. And those that do, should at least tell them.

I’ve had people tell me things.
Sometimes I listen to them, sometimes I don’t. In the end, I’m going do what I want. But I will at least give others advice some consideration.

OP, I say run those 36” tires on a 6”.
If that is what makes you happy, and is what you want to do. Do it my man.

    Yeah.
I'm sorry, I wasn't being clear. My point was that I would never put 35's on a vehicle with the 4.0 without also doing a regear. Increasing the tire circumference by more than 10% over stock without adjusting the gearing on ANY vehicle is just not something I personally would do. For me, form follows function, not the other way around. Will it work? Sure. Will it work well? You may think so, and I may not.

Douche Bag lifts are dumb and doing any off road driving is impossible! You should have spent your money on a cool grill or rock lights............ o_O

If you could care less it means you actually do care, at least a little. If you COULDN'T care less, you have no cares as cares are always displayed as an absolute value. Never not positive. You dig?

I think you should squat it and show these boomers who’s really in charge around here.

Has anyone pointed out that 36” isn’t even a common size? Am I missing something here?

Yeah, but two guys on here have done it so it’s not as bad as what the majority says it is. Don’t you want your COG to be as high as possible for off-roading

Will it work as well for a daily driver pavement princess not being regeared on 35's? Of course not.

Will it handle trails and off-road better than stock being lifted on 35's even without a re-gear? Yupp, that's the function part.

High COG is good I think, especially paired with this torquey high horse-powered 4.0. I bet those guys need to be careful with the throttle.

The point of lifting is to run bigger tires to increase ground clearance (for off-roading) without having to butcher the truck and worry about constant rubbing at full lock or under any real articulation.

The DB lift keeps CV axles and steering angles in spec and also removes the need to change the infamous needle bearing in the front diff. When done properly ($$$), it is just as good as a simple cheap-o shock and spring lift, but obviously not even close to an actual full-travel proper setup.

I’m actually surprised we don’t see completely mangled leafs due to that crazy axle wrap.
