You like DD better? Output? I was thinking of going to BD from rigid but now you have my attention :oops:20230228_175428.jpg 20230101_010907.jpg

Just some maintenance. Friendly reminder to clean your cabin filter. This is only 4 months of use :eek:20240128_043325.jpg 20240208_150629.jpg 20240209_043311.jpg 17074842279982905217364775519740.jpg

I really love the Rigid pods. They will do what you want but the DD is a different animal. Tough to compare but here are some initial thoughts....

    Rigid:
They "seem bigger" as ditch lights, traditional off-roader look
Amber backlighting is nice and clean but doesn't really pop
The broad spotlight REALLY filled up the ditch area, even at high speeds.

    Diode Dynamics:
They "seem smaller" as ditch lights, more modern look
Amber backlighting is more attractive than the Rigid
I have the driving lenses on them which give a 18x8 degree area of illumination. So these are a great supplement to the rest of my lighting.

My Rigids were white output and the DD is amber output so they behave differently. I am stoaked with the DD but wouldn't hestitate to recommend either. I'll put mine up for sale here in a bit.

@memario1214 was a HUGE help in the process and provided a killer price on the SS3 Round Fog lights WITH amber backlighting.....I'll post those up once I get them. They will replace the Baja Designs Squadrons. Which, again I really like but I also love tinkering and amber backlight. Ha!

Do you have any pictures of the ditch light output?
Did you go with Sports or Pros?

I also swapped my Fogs and Ditch lights to DD from rigid.

I find the DD pods to be better than my Rigid, however, until DD releases a dual row 30" light bar, I'll keep my rigid E series.

Also went through @memario1214 for my DD lights, @crashnburn80 has a lot of good info about lights if you're interested.

Does upgrading to these take the sponginess out of braking?

I thought about upgrading to the Tundra brake system but that whole process seems expensive & daunting….

Not today but this past Wednesday I upgraded the reverse light bulbs to VLEDS (the 6 LED model). It really helps the camera view! Super bright! IMG_8352 2.jpg

Swapped in some billet grill inserts over the weekend and finally put my 10" Android radio in so I can have everything a bit more integrated.

No. You probably just have air in the lines, or a leak somewhere.

Bigger calipers with more pistons need more fluid, so (all other things being equal) you’ll get more pedal travel as well.

Gotcha. I’ll have to look into that.

To be fair, I am running 295/75/16’s with stock gearing and stock breaking system.

Cut and drilled up a cheap $200 Double Cab roof rack to fit my Regular Cab. Also installed a $200 knock-off TRD skid with a $10 TRD decal and added some "Demon Hooks"
