Those projectors work fine with a quality HID kit if you want to get some more output and change the color temp to match LED fogs. You could get a decent kit for under 100 bucks.

Putting the higher wattage halogen will work but they burn out quick.

Im 2nd gen but put the Lexus ES LED fogs in mine and love them. They fit 3rd gen as well. Much better than the Morimoto and Genuine Toyota/Lexus.

I've also got some OEM fog lights, no bulbs though. PM if interested.

We've got plug and play for you over here at Hotshot Offroad! You'll have to do a "little" mix and matching since it doesn't sound like you're pre-wired for fogs, but it won't be bad.

You'll need something like this Diode Dynamics SS3 kit - In the SAE fog pattern they are the best out there at the moment, especially for the money spent.
    https://hotshotoffroad.com/collecti...s/products/ss3-led-fog-light-kit-12-23-tacoma

Thank you'll need a wiring harness - It'll be dependent on whether or not you want your fog lights to have the backlight feature. If you don't want backlight, you'd only need the first harness. If you do want backlight, you'll need the second.
    https://hotshotoffroad.com/products/heavy-duty-wiring-harness-dual-output

    https://hotshotoffroad.com/products/heavy-duty-wiring-harness-4-pin-w-3-way-switch

Lastly, you'll need new bezels. I believe that the OEM part numbers are 52127-04020 and 52128-02020. That said, you could likely find a set that someone pulled off (or would be willing to pull off) after they swapped to a steel bumper. Could likely get them for pretty cheap, too.

Highly recommend oem LEDs for best value for your money. Beam is suuuuuuper wide and decently bright. Not the brightest compared to some of the aftermarket units but what I love the most is the width, they're a bit wider than the rigid fogs in the trd pro, too.

Thank you for this! Not exactly in the market for them at this moment (just got wheels/tires/and lift kit on the way), but definitely will be coming back to this post in a few months!

Do your fogs take H-11 or H-16 bulbs?

I went with some Rigid Industry knock-offs. Cost me less than $200cad ($150usd). Put some clear yellow vinyl on the lenses also.20240121_121825.jpg

I just bought the Z Off-road amber LED fog lights off Amazon for $62. They’re a plug n play direct swap-out. Took 15 minutes total to install and remove the old oem fog light housing. I sealed the edges with silicone bcuz some there were a few reviews that mentioned condensation getting inside them. They’re actually pretty good, have a really sharp cutoff, and until I get the really good ones I really want (diode dynamics) these will be fine

A guy locally. Has a bunch of tacoma and 4runner aftermarket parts like the fog lights, grilles, skid plates, tail lights etc. Not sure where he gets them from as it seems like he buys a few to have as stock then sells them on marketplace.
