    Looks like @Visa_Declined posted a short review at T4g: I put around 50 miles on my truck today while doing odds &
    ends, and just cruising. The frame on the 24 really does feel stiffer, and I loved the way that it tracked and kept its composure while driving through some of the shittiest roads we have available.

    To me, the truck feels bigger when behind the wheel vs. the 3rd Gen Tacoma. We already know that it is, spec sheets have given us the width and wheelbase numbers for some time now, but I was curious as to how much it would really stand out to me. Quite frankly, it's obvious, and I like it.

    Lots of nice people today complimented me on it. One guy stopped me while I was walking out of a gas station. During our conversation, he called the truck a Tundra twice, and I didn't correct him, it looks like a Tundra.

    For the engine and transmission, they're great, and mashing the gas pedal while going slow or leaving from a dead stop is such a huge improvement. On the highway though, if you're already moving quickly and mash on the gas, you'll find out like I did that the previous Gen's V6 does that better. In my opinion anyway.

    I'm going to try and make a video tomorrow talking about other things on the truck.

    I wonder how fast he was going on the freeway when he mashed on the gas.

    Pages and pages and threads of the same stuff. You can only block so many. It has become a sad circle jerk. If I had any substantive things to post about my new 4G truck, it wouldn't be here. I would just get shit on. The only reason the other site doesn't get more traffic is that it is a navigational nightmare.

    I think everyone is dying to know how powerful the engine is because every Toyota forum has always complained about the third generation Tacoma and fifth generation 4R being too slow.

    Personally, I’m waiting for the extra cabs, even the SR has a shit ton of horsepower.

    @SH10151

    I ran multiple 15.5 1/4 with 1K mi on the odometer. Have time slips. With a KDmax tune it hauls. Not so much now with my 35s.

    The 5th gen 4R is lauded as fixing all of the “anemic” turd gen issues. Drove both and they feel just as shitty

    With the smaller tank it’ll be a smaller bill :anonymous:

    I had a 2013, which I gave to my dad and my daughter has a 2020, they are not fast and they are not slow. Buuuut they are not noticeably faster than the fourth generation.

    I'm still driving on the tank my dealership gave me, but here is my truck in front of a pump?

    EPA hasn't even certified truck yet. No one has one.

    If the EPA hasn't certified the 24 Tacoma's, how did myself and the others who have been driving them around get them?

    Look, if I can't convince you, I'll have to have the Toyota Secret Service come and apprehend you. Perhaps you've seen them before, they have TSS written on their truck beds in place of the normal TRD. It's your choice.
