Anybody take delivery of the 2024 Tacoma yet ?

I'm not concerned, it's not often that I'm punching it at 70+ MPH, but I had to get around some people to make my exit. The 24 Tacoma does this fine, it's just that the 3rd Gen has more pull up at the top. For 98% of my driving, the turbo 4 performs better. Regarding Sport Mode, it seems to hold you in gear longer instead of shifting up to improve gas mileage. I don't believe it would have made a difference.

 

Yes, always compromises with these mid sized trucks. Pick your poison. The Tacoma is what it is. A great reliable do all tho. I'm really happy with my 3rd gen. Does what I need it to do. I understand it's shortcomings. The benefits outweigh some of the negatives. Enjoy your 4th gen. Let us know if you have any odd issues or quirks. Curious to see how the first model year holds up. Hoping to see few to none.

 

I took deliver of a 2024 Tacoma Off Road Premium in California this evening. Silver with no added items other than what comes with the premium package. No front air dam and I was surprised that the Tacoma script on the doors is black which looks much better than the chrome in my opinion. The steering wheel feels funny at first and gets hot fast when you press that button. The seats feel great and the digital mirror will probably take a while to get used to as it makes me dizzy when I look up at it from the road.

 

Congrats! Photos? Is the steering wheel smaller than the 3rd gen. I heard this but not really an issue.

Nope. I don’t believe anyone has one yet. It’s fake news. Hawaii actually get first dibs on Toyotas sometimes. Servco is direct decedents of Toyota family. So we get stuff before mainland. Cause Hawaii is better anyway.
So no tacomas yet. Might as well rename 2025 Tacoma.

Exciting! I have a silver Off Road Premium coming. Sales reps updated me that truck is in line to be hauled. Should be here within 10 days or so. Trying to come up with a number I will not go below for my trade. Trading my son's 2019 SR5 4WD with 50k miles. I know they will try and low ball me but I don't want a new Tacoma that badly. Stay tuned...

 

How are the SoFTex seats? Heating and ventilation?
