The other one I put a clutch in was stock other than wheels and suspension. Much better driving car than this modded on for sure.

What a waste of money. Beautiful car, but Jesus not worth it with that much BS going wrong with it. I would just LS swap it so you can keep up with all modern EFI technology that would make parts accessibility easy no matter even if it's 20-30 years from now. Outside of that that's why I don't touch vintage, because of stupid problems like that.

Yeah man, I've seen people LS swap NSX's before. Basically rendering the shell only Honda and all engine parts and electronics GM.

 

that or a k swap id be fine with.

 

A K would probably make it easier but still a semi dying platform which is starting to show it's fallacies after nearly three decades of service.

 

An NSX with a 2JZ-GTE swap would anger a lot of people and there's plenty of support to make it stupid quick

 

That’s a bummer to hear. There are bunch of shops in CA that worn in then. There are a ton of them around here. This guy I know has a S/C as well which it came with and it also needed a bunch of work but not this bad to get going. I think he recently shipped it off again.

 

The problem is that if he takes it to a local speed shop guarantee they are going to recommend upgrading to a modern stand alone and tuning from there. Aka: 5k to start

There were quite a few supercharged nsxs back in the days. I wonder what Comptech used? AEM?

AEM EMS was a big one. They're no longer in production as far as I know. Probably still many boxes on the shelves though for the numbers they produced them in.

 

I had two supercharged s2000s. Both were on Split Second FTC-1 for fuel and timing with the FMU. Swapped that all out for bigger injectors and AEM EMS on one of them.

 

what current value do you think a s/c 2k is? curious.
