Installed the Garmin mini 2 dash cam today. Had a hell of a time getting it paired to the phone. After the third or fourth time it finally worked and after driving around to test it out it seems good. Also installed the Flatirons attic net. It turned out really nice in conjunction with the MESO hexrack that I had in there already. Was a quick install and looks like it is going to work great. Lastly install the Desert Does It MMP under the passenger seat. It fit with the seat jackers and holds the Noco battery jumper and a flashlight. The wife says that it does in crotch on her leg room at all.

Not the hardest of mods, but happy with all of them.

Same, same. The black on/in the Pros looks SO much better than the chrome ladened ones that came on my OR. They also look awesome with Quicksand!

For sure! I'm planning several more black accents, including a bumper like that.

I also got the Vleds Vtails conversion kit (https://www.vleds.com/3g-tacoma-vt-tail-light-conversion.html). Much better brake and reverse lights, and turn signal. I haven't seen any aftermarket tail lights i liked, but I really like this kit paired with the pros!

My Sport doesn't have all that chrome in the tails..
I thought about changing them, then decided I could live with them. Did the chrome come in 2020 or just double cabs? Just curious?20240209_185851.jpg

Not OEM, I got mine from rockauto, they're TYC, CAPA certified. Perfect fit, seals look good, only issue was the reverse bulb didn't fit snug, but I don't have the OE bulb in there. An extra o-ring got it right. Time will tell if they let water in or anything, but they seem well made.

ETA: @toyotahenry update, I got a good heavy rain today, no water got in.

The reverse bulb socket or reverse bulb itself?

Ok, just to set some terms so we're on the same page. You might call these parts different names, but here's how I'm using them, in order of how they go together. You got the wiring harness, then socket, then bulb, put those together and twist into the housing.

I have an aftermarket dual led that moves the turn signal to the same housing as the reverse light. It does NOT plug into the OE socket. Instead, the led and socket are one unit. That's what didn't fit snug enough for my comfort. However, I tried the OE socket, and it fit just fine.

Ahh okay so the VLEDS's sockets do not fit as snug as the OEM sockets?

That's more an issue of the TYC tails. It fit perfect in my OE tails. I did the vtails last week. But yeah, just an extra o-ring, and it was good. Not so tight it was a PITA, but just right.

ETA: the TYC comes with new bulbs and sockets. I got the o-ring off those.

Edit 2: I'm not crazy about having two different o-rings together bc that could leak, so I'm gonna see about getting a thicker one.

I finally got around to doing a drain and fill on the transmission at 60k. The process was pretty painless using @Soft Taco ’s YouTube videos. It turns out the old girl was a little over a quart low from the factory. Getting the amount right really smoothed out the shifting.

PSA to the folks that haven’t, check your trans fluid level sooner rather than later.
