Which is why I am not surprised that PSA has their new Krinks coming out in 5.56 first. 5 SKUs on the website already.

I was hopping PSA would start producing their own 5.45 in house (AAC) since they released 74's.
Rumor was they were looking into putting out 7.62 x 54R models as well.
I like PSA for some things but their QC has been a mixed bag over the years.
I've found it's best to let "others" do Gen 1 testing of PSA products.

Yeah, I had an issue with a 102 I bought when they first came out. First time I shot it, no problems. The next time, it would not fire. Found out the very tip of the firing pin had broken off. Had to send it back for a replacement and headspacing. The next releases of the 102 didn't have this issue, and mine has had no problems since.
There's been issues with the JL Billet handguards and the hinged receive covers, but that's JL not PSA. PSA has the Soviet Arms and JMAC parts available now. I think they learned their lesson with it.

But I'm still gonna wait a bit on getting a Krink.

I’m not thrilled about 5.56 out of the 8 inch barrel on the psa krink, rumor is there will a 7.62 model as well.

I am building an upper and I need to find someone who can drill the barrel for the tapered pins. Does anyone come to mind?

    Thank you

Are you wanting to get it drilled for a pinned FSP like any run of the mill m4? Or are you wanting a pinned low-pro gas block?

I have a new barrel and an old standard front sight base I need installed. I need someone that could drill the slots in the barrel and taper for the two pins.

My only guess would be to find a good local gun smith and then just pray he gets the fsb strait. Or take the opportunity to instal a low profile gas block and rail if that’s any desire of yours.

Good Gun Smiths are hard to find and when you do find one they are always backed up with work :annoyed:

There's a jig for this. Not many people have them anymore because it's not a common task. It'll probably cost more than the barrel is worth, if you can find anyone to do it.

My gunsmith has gotten a lot of his jigs by saying "you buy me the jig, I'll do yours for free." He's gotten at least 2 from me like this.

There was only one place that made a jig for that I believe, and it was about $200. Cheaper to just find a barrel.

I purchased a new upper with the barrel assembled the way I want. I will just swap out the receiver and handguards.

I'll save the other barrel for another build.

By the way, that jig is now $300

In that case yes. The most I've spent on one for him was $80. And should clarify the two he got from me were not the same type of jig.

Edit: Actually I take that back. I did buy him a $150 one but I had two rifles that needed the jig so it was $75 each. About the same price as the other gunsmith in my area would have done it but the other guy had a 3 month backlog and mine did it on the spot when I brought him the jig.

Just an fyi but there's a guy on reddits gafs that does it for "free". Just pay shipping. I've sent a couple to him that way and never had an issue. ADCO also will do for $75 plus shipping (least that used to be their price).

Both are you supply the parts of course.

    Just options for the future!
