Hey guys I’m currently dealing with an issue on my 2000 Tacoma it’s driver side camshaft bolt broke off and others are saying I need to get a new engine but I’m thinking since it’s a non-interference engine if I’d be able to just replace the cam? When I was driving it just turned off and I was able to close to the side of the road upon inspection. My engine seals were bad and leaking a lot of oil so I think the oil level got low and that’s what might have snapped the cam. Let me know what you guys think

Need to remove valve cover and see if cam turns.

you can’t just replace the cam unfortunately. It’s likely you’ll need an engine in the end

    Is motor seized?

that would explain the sheered cam bolt

I suspect that with the low oil it seized... and if the cam is seized then I bet the rest of the engine won't be happy either.
