Seems like a lot of the Tacomas are coming with the Dark Chrome exhaust tip. Not a fan of chrome in general but a chrome tip usually doesn't look bad. My problem is with how low the exhaust is under the bumper. Adding a chrome sleeve over it actually makes the exhaust hang down even lower.

The TRD Pro Double Chrome tip tucks in much higher and further forward. Not sure if it is an actual cat-back system with a different muffler or just a tailpipe with double tips. Looks like there is a clamp behind the muffler so maybe you can get just the tailpipe/tip without a new ($$) muffler. Alternatively, getting the Trail Hunter dump pipe would give you even more clearance and since there is no chrome, it can't be too expensive. A hack saw to the stock exhaust of course would also work. The TH doesn't have a resonator though. Wonder if the muffler is different to eliminate drone?

Going back to the Gladiators I think a lot of their issues were price related. As of several months ago (haven't looked recently) What Jeep dealers at least around my area were doing is taking the discount that the corporation was offering and up charging and then offering the discount which took you back to MSRP. Which was/is a poor decision because the people who wanted them already have them and now they need to compete with every other midsize out there.

Big diesel truck owners who don't tow or haul heavy loads = halo truck owners who never go off road. I see a lot of both.

Swapping to that TRD Pro muffler back would be a mod I would be interested in.

It looks like the normal exhaust may have a resonator on that muffler back, and the Pro setup eliminates that to get higher clearance

I don't know, there's a lot going on with their design.

The problem with buying a Ford on any trim level is you end up having to buy and own a Ford.

    Right, but Tacoma’s over 60k?!

    Some SR5’s approaching…50k?
Then spray on bed liners over composite at the port?

Shuffles the whole board for me…

No, I do get that part, and concur it is ridiculous. Makes me regard the 40k I paid for my 2020 DCLB OR with 7k miles pretty fondly now.

I don't like how tall the bed sides are on the Ranger. It doesn't look right to me.

Not a fan, especially not at $300K.
It's weird, I prefer the rounded lines of the '05-06 GTs over the 2016+ GTs, but I prefer the angled lines of the new Tacoma over the rounded lines on the Ranger.
