5 teams since 2000 have won the Super Bowl while being underdogs in each of their final three games, will the Chiefs be the 6th?

Hate to break it to you but Niners were +12 and Chiefs were -11 in turnover ratio this year. For one game I still wouldn’t use this to project outcome even though it’s favorable to us. But go ahead and lie to yourself about how great you are if it helps you get through the preamble.

 

They are both +2 in the playoffs, but as you said, it doesn’t necessarily project the outcome of this single game.

 

Best we can hope for is an even call meaning no favoritism. Beyond that there will still be consequences.

Okay then the Niners are +14 and the chiefs are -9 for the year but keep trying.

 

Hoping PMII can have his 7th straight playoff game with no interceptions!

 

Doesn't matter who wins..... rookie vs the veteran. Either way one becomes a part of history.

FYI - his 6 consecutive playoff games without an INT is a first in NFL history. He did however have that embarrassing fumble in the AFC Title game last year.

Last SF SB Win was 1995...and it was the California Bowl: Chargers vs Niners.

The one where Steve Young (SB XXIX MVP) got the "monkey off his back". (Steve later regretted saying that)

Dang, that was a long time ago...and SF's 5th SB in franchise history. (1st Team to win 5 SBs)

This would be their 6th SB trophy if that's the case.

Kyle Shanahan suffered a previous defeat in his first SB...I'm wondering what his game plan is this time around.

Niners having a lead will be a reminder not to let things get out of control.

This is why I believe the Niners Defense needs to contain the KC Offense.

If that happens...to a strategic degree, this could be the difference.

That is...giving Purdy the benefit of performing well under tremendous pressure as the youngster in this game.

EDIT: Forgot to mention his supporting cast can also take some heat off him (Purdy) by doing their job.
