I got one of these for a "neat pour" charge. It was $2.00

Bartender said they pour 2oz for neat and 1.5 for rocks.... I call them all covid tax. Same with hotel resort fees, food delivery service fees on top of delivery fees and the list goes on over the last 2-3 years

Any reviews on 1792 12 year? I can buy one at retail tomorrow and I’m just wondering if it’s worth it.

Stuff and Whiskey on YouTube did a blind with it yesterday, KC12 was the other blind comparator, if you wanted to hear their thoughts on it. I had never seen a 12yr before yesterday.

If it's retail I'd say go for it just to try it. Would be curious to hear your thoughts on it. I think it's ok, but does not compare to other bottles with that age statement. KC12 blows it away IMO.

I get it. I opened my MMCA (only because I traded for a 2nd one). I think I probably need to hide it and put it away for special occasions

Just watched this, good video. My reaction to the 1792 was similar to the girl's. I couldn't pick out any unique flavors, nothing stood out to me. KC on the other hand, quite the opposite. I also didn't realize the 1792 retail, was thinking more $50-60 range.

All of the 1792 hard to find bottles are about $50 retail.

Random hole in the wall liquor store score on my way home from work... on "sale" for $59.99 so I scooped one up, I usually see it closer to $80-100 at my local liquor stores. Why not, it's Friday!

I may be an outlier on this one but it's not something I care for. I love 1792, just not the 12 year.

The Angels Envy was a gift. I haven’t had the rye before so I’m looking forward to it. The Forester followed me home. The store had about three cases.

Neck pour and a bit more. I’ve had my fair share of wheated bourbons. This one drinks hot for just a 100 proof. I’ll chew on this pour a bit and revisit it in a week or so. I can’t tell if I like it or not lol. Cheers.

One for me, one for @jandrews

    IMG_7402.jpg

Unusually large drop for this store, they also had Larceny BP, Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Sazerac Rye. Small store, they usually don’t get much.

So at checkout the clerk says, if we see any of these serial numbers online being resold, you’ll get in big trouble. I shrugged and told the guy, he doesn’t have to worry about that with me, but in my head I was seriously doubting that management is in the back recording tiny laser bottling codes. It was a highly strange thing to say.
