It seriously is quite the bitch to find a decent server.
I cant stand awps but it's part of the game on some servers. I havn't played ina while but I did the whole 1.6 calleague crap years ago and the seriousness of it just took over my life.
I only play for fun nowadays and if I suspect cheating/hacking, I will bail and find another server.
Looking forward to bf3.

HL and 1.6 were world class when that shit hit the shelves.
Many, many of sleepless nites on dew and a few wrecked relationships.
For sure the game of the century and the basis for what all other online fps games will be judged.

 

yeah cod and stuff is fun but i cant forget my cs roots.. in my opinion any real fps gamer should have played cs but these xbox bitches i meet all the time dont know what im talking about its sad that they think the controller will ever surpass the mouse and keyboard

Rats was fun as hell. And BFA, I totally understand about the controller issue.
I bought a xbox 360 and the 5.1 original xbox surround system thinking I was fixin to pwn some shit.
Hell naw.
For those that think the xbox controller will ever compete with strait up mouse and keyboard old school, aint happinin. never will.
Don't get me wrong. Racing games like Dirt and grand turismo? shit yea. Love to see it on the 42 inch plasma. Crank it up and lets do carnage. But for precision, accuracy and fov, depth field on a dell tube or fs? No way brother. I will smoke some ass and put the 360 and ps3 fools out to pasture.

 

lol for sure. when left 4 dead came out there was a patch that allowed pc and xbox players to play in the same game and xbox kids were whining so much about how they were getting the smackdown from all the pc pwnage. especially when i had my group of friends join xbox games lol they usually just rage quit.
i dont know why pc games have died out so much.. i know its more expensive to build a gaming and lately there really hasnt been much worth playing

and my ps3 broke last year and i havent given a shit to fix it cause i never play it

 

If you are into Gungame, check out CDS Servers (Cyber Death Squad) they keep a pretty good reign on hackers/asshats and have several map modders within the clan that make new maps every couple of weeks - I believe they also have a dust2 server.

 

I play a lot of ESEA servers with 1.6. Source looks good, but preforms like shit. Hit boxes are never right on with the character model and the registration with shots on most servers are bad. 1.6 FTW....

im not particularly into gungames like iceworld and stuff i actually like the servers where they promote people to complete the objectives-bombing defending hostages etc

I can try 1.6. I cut my teeth on beta but moved on. Got tired of trippin over pixels.
