Really. This ‘23 only had them in the bed and it’s a TRD, color me puzzled there. I’ve spent quite a sum converting everything over. Diode Dynamics is pretty reputable but these turn sigs are killing me.

Go back to stock, cross your fingers that everything returns to normal, and send them back for a full refund. If they don't work plug-and-play without performing surgery on your stock wiring, fall back to OEM before they nuke your other peripheral electrical components. (body module, fuse block, yada, yada, yada)

The Toyota wiring set-up doesn't seem to like them for some reason, and if you keep pushing it with "resistor kits" and splice-and-play "resistor kits" from the vendor to fix it: they may melt down and give you the bird. $$$$ OEM replacement parts to bring them back to life. (Maybe)

I don't understand the fascination with LED's except maybe for the lame 2 (?)-watt dome-light bulb or whatever it is. If they want to save money, just eliminate the whole weak foolish unit on the ceiling. My watch puts out more light.

I am going back to stock, just this minute decided that. Seller refuses to refund.

Why do you care about turn signals? I do get headlights, fogs backup lights, but do see any benefits of led blinkers.

They are not visible in bright daylight. Going back to stock anyway.

Just go buy em from the auto parts store. I like OE parts, but just buy name brand replacement bulbs.
BTW even if you upgraded your lights so you had exceptionally bright bulbs in the daytime, you’d just increase your risk of being rear ended at night with the blinding light, and be pissin people off.

I have this DD hitch mount light, it’s plug n play and not overly bright for braking, but has a nice bright backup light that helps me backing in dark steep driveway. You can set it to flash for second on braking to grab attention.

Why do you need to see your blinkers?

Who cares??? I never use the blinkers anyway, unless the cops or State Police troopers are behind me... and when I do use them, I end up leaving them blinking for hundreds of miles.

It's not my fault: the clicking noise they make is too faint to hear. :proposetoast:

Good decision. Someday the tech will reach maturity and catch up with the Toyota wiring.

As far as I know , the blinkers don't give you priority. You still need to clear the traffic and pedestrians. And tacoma blinkers DOT aprroved

Not picking on you at all. I told you that even toyota does not put LEDs in the turn signals for fully loaded trims.

Theses trucks are kind of a pain when it comes to hyperflash. I make conversion harnesses for SR trucks, and have dealt with a lot of hyperflash issues. The issue can be exacerbated by LEDs in the rear too. A 6 Ohm resistor is a popular choice for replacing 7440 bulbs, but can be a little on the high side. It doesn’t take much resistance to not-hyperflash, but it is more sensitive to too much resistance, and it’s easy to cross that threshold. So I recommend using smaller resistors. My truck has no bulbs as seen by the truck in the front. It only has resistors, and only 25 Ohms at that. VLEDs sales 25 Ohm, they are called VLR25s. $10 each as just resistors, or like $12-13 with wiring parts. Another option is having someone (*cough*me maybe*cough*) make you a plug in solution that you can add the resistors to. That way you’re not splicing or tapping the wires.

I think that is the other way around. Someday the Toyota wiring will catch up with tech….

I appreciate the effort, typing all that. I’m going back to stock despite DD sending resistors. How would you make a plug solution I could add resistors to without cutting wires??

I make taps for all kinds of things on these trucks. Brake lights, DRL, reverse lights…. Everything in the headlight or tail light I can make. For turn signals, you would need two of each of these:
    https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=1165
    https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=899&category_id=157
Using those, you make a male/female tap that goes in between the truck and the turn signal housing. Off of that male/female, you run an extra wire that will connect to the resistor. If you went with VLEDs resistors, I can even use a wiring lead that will plug right into their resistors. No splicing or crimping needed at all on your part. I could walk you through it as well, but the cost of the tool usually makes it not worth it for most people. You can see more of the type of stuff I do here: https://fbchs.square.site/shop/t-harnesses/7?page=1&limit=60&sort_by=category_order&sort_order=asc (the website is actually my business associates, and he can do them as well). Sorry, don’t mean to come across as someone who is only here to sell something, I am trying to be helpful :)
