Started to look at the 2024 tacomas on toyota.com. A black trd off road with manual transmission is being built and allocated within driving of me.

I'll currently own a 2023 trd off road tacoma, manual, with 7000 miles. I'm seriously considering trading in if I can get a good price on mine. I've never traded a vehicle in prior to 12 years ownership. I'm thinking if in it for 15 years I should just update. The 2023 for 15 years will be a dinosaur is my thinking. Opinions? My truck was 40137 msrp, paid 38000 plus 499 doc fee and taxes. Carvana offering 37000.

The one I'm looking at is 45k. It may be mine come Monday with a deposit.

Best advice don’t buy the 1st gen of the 4th … prices will be outrageous and will have all kinds of gremlins.

anything will be a dinosaur 15 years later, I don't get it.
If you want the latest greatest tech, I'd look elsewhere than Tacoma and trade in every year, if that's what makes you happy.
I let my eyes wonder past those ridiculous rear bedsides and was almost blinded by the ugly.

I get it, but I'd most likely hit Jerry up for the extended warranty. 125k and 10 years will get me to retirement.

Only you can determine when and if you should trade in for a 4th Gen. I am waiting for the big Tundra discounts to show up on the 4th Gen Tacoma, then I will buy. Did you ever think you would see $8200 off MSRP on a new Tundra?

This will most likely be a bad decision from a financial perspective. But many financial decisions are emotional as my financial advisor is fond of saying.

Both have gas engines. Both are manuals. Both are Tacomas. Basically twins Just pick which one likes the same music as you; important when you’re older.

Saw a new review on YouTube yesterday of a 2024 Tacoma. Reviewer said although nice looking the interior seems cheap and flimsy. I'm just looking for the negative reviews so I stay grounded and not throw away my money stupidly on a new one.

Never buy the first year of a new generation of vehicle.

you do realize in 15 years your 2023 will only be 1 year older than a new 2024, right? And have approx 7,000 more miles on it.

The new 2024s look really cool. People are going to appreciate the better low end torque versus the anemic V6 of the third generation. However, it's wise to avoid the first year or two of a new model to let the manufacturer work out all the problems.

*Anemic at lower RPMs, not necessary in toto.

    Still

Absolutely zero issues at lower RPMs here. My tach barely goes over 3k and my truck is modded carrying a bunch of constant weight.
