personally, i desperately want to do full air-ride in the rear of my truck to be able to dump the bags and make the bed easier to access-- ie, closer loading height to an old 2wd ford ranger.

the coil spring iteration already has all the linkages installed, i would just need to change the coil springs for air bags, and add a compressor. a fraction of the work that converting my 3rd gen to airbags is going to take.

but officially, yes, coil springs offer a nicer ride, for those that care. it's a truck for me, i don't care if it rides like a wagon, i care about bed loading/unloading.

If you do Carvana, you'll have to pay taxes again. It's 10% in my city, so 4500 in taxes on a 45K vehicle.

I’m just glad we know they’ll raise the bedside height for the 2037 Tacoma. So tired of the 2024+’s low bedsides.

I like the Ranger, initial performance, looks, and still watching longevity. If it lasts fairly well,,, it's a contender for sure. While no reliability issues, if it ends up developing drivability issues anything like my company vehicle,, a 2017 F150- I'd drive a Korean car before I bought something so bad.

No matter how much power they toss at it, it will never be enough for some. The internet blows the 3.5 V6 lack of power waaay out of proportion. 1st World problems…

    yep!
If they were to add more HP, the internet would explode with complaints of added maintenance costs, reliability issues, and a lack of fuel efficiency.

For the prices the ‘24 is going for, Sprinter is starting to make more sense. Especially if you plan on tossing a camper on a Taco. Couple of my moto buds have the Merc, gotta say like that better for traveling.

All of the major complaints about the 3G, lack of power, crazy shifting trans, seating position, rough ride…I have none of that in mine. *shrug*

It could get better mpgs, but oh well. People having been screaming for greater fuel efficiency for decades, they were ignored once again. Instead the squeaky wheel got the grease.

They could put the twin turbo V6 from the Lexus 550 in the Tacoma…

Plus the gas mileage is fantastic on these things. They do seem to be quite reliable as well.

I’ve seen some 4x4 builds and they are super cool. The price isn’t though…

Same. I fit like a glove.

Did a 10.5 hour drive and I felt very comfortable. I’m 185 and 5’ 11”, so not the smallest dude.

It is, drives quite nice, track width is about the same as a Taco, slips into spots no problem. Toured around Idaho for a week in one. Best thing I liked was being able to change into cycling and moto clothes inside. Instead of standing beside my truck with the wind blowing up my arse. Lol!

Yeah that price though, 144” model has about 11.5” feet of cargo room. Still cheaper to go the enclosed trailer route, and use that as needed. Sprinter isn’t the best as a daily, but some use it as one.

Main issue with them is the DEF system, it is $6-8K to fix out of warranty.

They could, sure that still won’t be enough for the power hungry. :)
