So I bent the fucker like crazy

It must've been bent out a bit cause there's no reason why the metal mounting bracket would cut into the plastic (inspected again, DEEP gouging)

All good now; I just didn't want to fuck the fins up

But yeah I think it was inwardly bent too far up/back

Found out what happened to my pc. Guess my cpu randomly took a shit. Guess I’ll need to upgrade my am4. Anyone have a better suggestion than a 5800x3d?

If you're set on sticking with the AM4 platform, AMD came out with a new 5700X3D with similar specs (lower boost clock, and less cache) for $100 less

Cool to see AMD still support AM4

But it depends in what you're gonna use it for too so :notsure:

    Hi all.

I’m looking for assistance with video enhancement/forensics to capture a vehicle’s license plate, figured a PC builder thread might be a good place to ask.

Someone backed into my Tacoma while it was parked in a public parking garage and caused a good amount of damage. My dash cam recorded the incident, but the offending vehicle’s license plate is blurry.

Please let me know if you are able to help or can connect me with someone that does this type of work.

    Thanks!

I don't do this sort of stuff, but providing as raw of a file as possible will maintain as much detail as possible

Hopefully someone chimes in and helps!

I was originally going with a corsair case when putting together a parts list for my PC. I decided against it for a much more overpriced case that I liked aesthetically more, but I've gotta say, after building out the more expensive case with corsair fans/lighting hub/etc, any corsair case that has 3-4 fans + hub included is a solid starting point.

Ended up buying two MSI 16GB 4060 TIs for $450ish (IIRC) a pop during Black Friday. Once again, it's been nice being able to run things as they were intended to be viewed.
Huge upgrade over the 1060s we were running before.

Is...is your motherboard still plastic wrapped? Or is that an optical illusion because of the sticker?

One of my 9800 GTX + was :anonymous:

My motherboard is just complete with low hours and I still have everything for it including the two-way and three-way SLI bridges

Leaving Best Buy as I just picked up a brand new power supply for it, as well as the steam deck from Facebook

    @Slashaar

The goodies as I still got the box too

    20240209_131619.jpg

The build so far; really on the complete opposite end of the spectrum compared to the 14900k and 4090 builds here

This is for all my old Steam Games and whatever else I'll throw on there

    20240209_131521.jpg

That's the new PSU I just picked up

Those computer monitors no doing such a nice computer justice. Time to upgrade to a 49" Curved ultra wide. Love the hand grenades!

i cant stand curved monitors. They give me a headache. Each to their own.
    I have 3 screens for a reason:
    1 home security cameras
    2. PC monitor
    3 . TV

At least snag yourself a 27” 4k monitor for the pc screen then. Or even a 1440 144hz

    Those are all 32"s
    My monitor is a Asus ROG Strix XG32UQ 32.0" 3840 x 2160 160 Hz
Is that good enough to get your approval?
