    Interesting.

    My BMW has the battery in the truck.
    In their infinite wisdom, the trunk popper is a solenoid.
    No power, no open the trunk = you are so fucked; no manual back up.
    You have to hack the wiring harness in the center console to power it enough to open that shit..
    Usually gotta tow it to the dealer to do all that.
