Just a few updates done to the truck. I've repainted the front and rear portions of the cage along with the rock sliders. Currently in the process of rebuilding all suspension components this winter and updating all off road lighting to LED.

Old Crusty Rear bypasses shocks vs Rebuilt and Ready for next season. New seals, coated shock body, revalved and upgraded aluminum reservoir to modern fox styling/hardware. Shoutout to Chris at Kartek with helping me source all the parts I needed while answering my million questions.

Sorry I haven't posted much, I'm not very active on this site these days. if you're on Instagram build updates are more current @nv529

Here's a few photos of the rebuild over the winter. So far, Ive rebuilt all 6 shocks, had the shock bodies cerakoted, installed new hydraulic hoses and fittings along with the replacing reservoir cans with aluminum versions.

Also with upping the tire size to 35" I had to hammer and cut out portions of the wheel wells lighted in red to get full bump travel at full lock

Love seeing the truck get the attention it deserves. Those shocks look better than new!

Are you still running the same fuel cell? I was cleaning out the garage a bit over the weekend and realized I still had that block off plate in the shipping envelope sitting on the shelf. Literally seasons have passed but I can ship it out tomorrow. Gonna be at the post office anyway for tax stuff :)

    Thanks, I appreciate it!

Same fuel cell for now. The plan is to have a custom 40-50 gallon built next fall.

Here's 3D scan data I've collected of the truck for future projects. In Solidworks CAD, I've modeled an old school style trophy truck cab mount light rack to be made later this year once I acquire lights (Baja Design LP9s, maybe?). I have about 80% of the trucks exterior in CAD.

Lol! I'm doing most of the work in my single car garage because it's easier to heat.

Once March comes rolling around the truck will be moved to the bigger garage with lift to replace the clutch & throwout bearing. Driver side rear axle seal developed a leak over the winter from sitting it'll need to be addressed too.

Poor truck is shoehorned in there.

I have 2 uninsulated garages, with daily temps in the single digits outside I'll take whichever one is warmest.

Wide truck is wiiiiiiide :) Bummer about the axle seal. It's cake to replace but annoying that it's needed.

That truck is looking and doing so much better in its current life. Puts a huge smile on my face!

I finished up the front end over the weekend with new limit straps, new UCA heim joints/rod ends, and pressed in new uniballs for both UCA & LCA. Then dropped in the rebuilt bypasses & coilovers and topped off with 200PSI of nitrogen.

The truck is finally off Jack stands after 5 months. The weather is starting to break here and I'm getting the itch to drive it again. But there's a lot more work that needs to be done beforehand.

That looks spectacular. Also, "finally off Jack stands after X months" has been written about this truck many, many times :D
