Just looking for advice. I just completed my first oil change on my 3rd gen yesterday and everything went smooth except for one thing. I know when replacing the actual filter, you are supposed to gently push it into the plastic housing until it "clicks" into place. Unfortunately, I suffer from pretty bad OCD, and I can't remember if I heard that "click" into place or not. Knowing me, I probably did, and I am just overthinking it. What are the consequences of just having the filter sort of sitting inside the housing rather than being snapped into place? Figured I would ask for input before I get home and completely undo everything again. Thanks for any help.

Done many an oil change on mine, you're fine. Even if it somehow wasn't seated properly, which is honestly really difficult since it basically falls right into place, I would think you'd notice it when you went to reinstall it. You would have felt some resistance or something before you even tried to screw it in.
Never hurts to do a visual inspection but as long as the truck is running smooth and there's no visible oil leaking I'd leave it be.

Thank you guys. I'm sure I was just getting into my own head after seeing some tutorials and trying to remember if I did everything correctly. I tend to create pointlesss issues in my head for no reason....(light switches, closed doors...etc.) It sucks. Thanks for the peace of mind.
