Better buy a Kei car before they go from the already ridiculous $10k+ to ludicrous!

Whatever someone is willing to pay for it my brotha. :D

Hondata is a good starting point indeed, but the issue with that is that is that if the car is pre 1996 (which I'm pretty sure it is just based on the body style. Most likely a 1991-1993) I'm not sure if support for it actually exists like that because of the fact that it is pre OBD2. I'm not versed in the Honda tuning world like that though so there may be more to it than I have knowledge of.

Looks nice, but they fall apart faster than you can fix them. They will break just sitting there.

What do you think the feel over stock will be if everything is working properly?
    2.85 pulley
    Walbro fuel pump
    Cam gears
    Trd flash
    35s on 4.88s
    Not much weight over stock

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I think it will be similar to going from stock 3.73 gears on 35s to swapping for your 4.88s with 35s.
    It will feel stronger throughout.

I have pretty much the same S/C setup, limited weight, 35’s but stock gears.
I was a big difference, felt like the truck did with stock tires again.

yah it should feel pretty good. My truck, minus the fuel pump, is super heavy, and it doesn't have much lag, if any, compared to when it was sans S/C. I have driven a couple of the other ones with 35's, 2.8 but full exhaust and they were def faster than mine. With a near stock setup you should notice a drastic difference. You wont be running around in a sports car but it should be noticeable. If it's not, then come back and check. Really smooth power throughout regardless of how much you have. My super heavy truck is a bit faster than a stock truckub really brought driveability back (ie: my truck 6500-7000lbs)

0212242025_HDR.jpg Got my rotors back finally. They look fresh but have the same amount of play in them as before, leading me to believe i probably never needed a rebuild to begin with...installed case bearings (easy) and test fit the rotors in the case. When spun by hand its very smooth but isnt quiet. I assume this is normal as the case bearings/rotors/rotor bearings are brand new. Ive never spun an eaton gen5 with my own hands so I have nothing to compare it to.

I guess I was hoping for all this time and money it would sound different at least spinning by hand. It would make sense that without any air pressure bewteen the rotors they will have slop.

The case bearings came with some grease in them, but not alot...should I put some more in them before final assembly? I noticed when dry fitting the rotors i got some pushback from the pressure in the bearings. Dont want to hydrolock it with grease but it seems a light?

I don’t think bench top spin means they weren’t needing a rebuild at top speed. Always better safe than sorry.

For bearing grease the important grease is already inside. Any extra is probably gonna just come out. They have some special grease for the inside bearings is it the ones at the back of the rotor you’re thinking need a little more? I may have a packet of the stuff in kit if you need reference on type

    True.

Yeah the grease is that gross blue stuff that gets on everything

my partner’s RAV4 Prime is way faster than my relatively light truck until about 60.

above 60, the truck is faster because it keeps pulling the same in every gear until I didn’t want to go faster than 102… that’s the difference.

Don't feel too bad. The RAV4 Prime is the second quickest Toyota right behind the Supra. I forget how they measured it...

Yeah, they claim it is FASTER than the Supra, but it’s a controlled parameter test. Probably from 0-60 or something since the RAV4 prime can use the gas+CVT+ two electric engines to have great torque from low gas engine rpm.

After having motorcycles (not even super fast ones), no heavy 4wheel vehicle I can ever afford will be as fast or fun.
