I disagree, you want to stuff those tires inside the wheel well for full articulation...

 

Those wheels look like they are mounted to spacers.

 

I thought the same thing but they didn’t mention it in their post.

 

Going from stock wheel to 8.5" 0 offset on a 2023 Tacoma moves the outside of the wheel outwards 45 mm.
Going from stock wheel to 8.5" 0 offset on a 2024 Tacoma moves the outside of the wheel outwards 50 - 80 mm, depending on model.

For fun I built a Sport that had all the features my 2021 Sport Premium had. In order to get everything my 2021 had I had to add the top of the line $8610 Package. That package has a lot of features mine didn't have like Panoramic View Monitor, ventilated seats, front parking assist, towing technology package, and power tailgate. One thing my 2021 had was the hard tonneau cover. I didn't see that offered on the configurator.

The MSRP on my 2021 was $45780, the MSRP on the 2024 I built was $52,705, for a difference of $6925. If I add in the $650 tonneau cover the difference is $7575.

If you take inflation into account and look at all the features you get on the 2024 the price increase isn't that terrible IMO.

Bro, I've been 2 car lengths behind some tool with this similar setup but full size and still gotten a massive chip, its not a tail gate issue its a I dont care about other people behind me cause my truck looks cool issue.

 

This was a +25 offset I think he said. Crazy it still sticks out a decent amount. Sure looks great though

 

Various states have varying laws that are varyingly enforced. YMMV.

 

When I lived in NJ, they used to pull the young airman and privates with their wide wheel trucks over all the time and cite them for it. AL DGAF and probalby encouraged coupled with cr*p roads, PPF is more a must here than it was in AZ.

 

It really is not that hard to not be an asshole. Unless one wants to do it for the 'gram and have some bitchin' mod shop. Whoooo, Wescott "Designs".
