Finally turned some wrenches yesterday after procrastinating. Replaced the front body mounts and polished the headlights.

Got tired of computers not doing what i tell them to do so decided to get rid of it.
4wd just blinking non-stop with no attempt to shift anymore after the last wheeling trip.

Been waiting for my twins sticks from front range for a month. Have yet to get a response after multiple emails, so i decided to push on with the fj case swap in stock form.

Nice you will not ever regret doing this mod.
When you take it apart take note of the chain slack. If It's excessive take note of it.

Yeah I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. My 4wd has been slowly getting worse last couple years.
    I almost didnt have 4wd at v-muts.

I’ll see if i can feel any slack, I’m not going to pull the case apart yet though. Im hoping to slap it together in time for one more trip and hunting season.

Keep forgetting to update this thing.

The source of failure on the electronic shift transfer case ended up being a vent hose too close to my exhaust reroute that had split and mud water got into the actuator.
Wouldn’t have caught it with the location of the split and the skidplates.

(Mostly) Finished off the FJ case swap, will have a couple things to revisit later.
I bought the twinstick mod but decided i would leave it for now and decide later if I actually wanted it.

I still need some sort of cab to stick shift boot and a console to stick boot.

i will need to revisit the stick relocate as i was rushing to get the truck drive able and forgot to check clearance on the cup holder :bananadead:

Now that the truck has 4wd again its time to fix my leaky steering rack.

picked up a rack and pump from @tacoma16 parts depot

was planning on doing a tundra rack but figured the money could be better spent elsewhere at the moment.

Thinking im going to do a waterpump while im in the area to since the truck has 170ish km on it.

    IMG_1339.jpg

Heres a picture of the last wheeling trip to VMUTS on sept 16 2023
Did pretty much the whole trip in 2wd because my 4wd wasn't working (pre fj case swap)

truck has been pretty much parked since.
