I’m sure city/highway will be just fine. It’s just off-road, the crawl speed will increase. Also it will be harder on the clutch when off-road with stock gears.

I’ve had several sets of Super Swamper’s over the years and I loved them. (At the time.) But at the time, I was younger and knew just what I was getting into. Never bought them thinking they’d be quiet or have good road manners or wear. So I was never disappointed in those arenas.

I did have a set of Thornbirds once. (Never would’ve bought them on my own. Bought a 4Runner that had them on it.) You talk about a hydroplaning mofo. After the first few times out in the rain, I refused to drive that thing if the roads were wet.

Now here I am quite a few years older and sometimes I get aggravated with the noise of my BFG KM3s that are by far the most tame MT I’ve ever had.

Well, these definitely don't look like daily driver tires, I agree. These would be for trips to the off-road park and occasionally impressing kids at the mall.

A good friend of mine has these on a first gen Tacoma. He swears they don't have terrible road manners but they're still pretty new to him. In all my experience, lots of the drawbacks from aggressive tires don't start flaring up till they start wearing just a tad. He's also a diesel mechanic and has tons of offroad toys. SAS Tacoma on leafs, flat fender Jeep, etc... so he's use to things riding like a warped wheel wagon, so Idk that I trust his opinion on tires and their ride quality.

There was an outbreak of disease in rubber tree plantations around late-2021. Iirc they had to kill off and burn huge swaths of them across thailand and other countries because of it. I believe it takes a new rubber tree 7yrs or so to be productive, so this caused a big price jump in rubber products of all kinds since then.

Looking at that tread design, I say no way they don’t have terrible road manners. :)

My current Dick Cepak extreme country tires are loud, slow, and harsh, but I’m guessing these could be x2. The kicker is that they will fit on stock 16” wheels with hopefully less modifications than 315’s or 35x12.5.
