I changed my transmission fluid for my understanding the 20 and up you don’t have to put in port 413 strap. I’ll let the truck warm up, went through the gears put it in neutral and drive back-and-forth. The drive light never went off. I have a temp meter And truck was running at about 90° on the transmission. My understanding is the drive light goes off and when it reads the temp gauge, it comes back on? Am I missing something? Because I don’t wanna overfill the transmission oil was running. I got about half a quarter of transmission oil. Can someone let me know if I’m doing this right? And hopefully this will help others.

you probably were in the temp range to check the level.

Thanks for the info. I know where I was at 90+ because I had a temp gun and it’s red out helps. Thank you!

Try it without letting the truck warm up first. Do the gear selector process and then let it warm up. It will indicate clearly when to check it. You’ll have about 5 mins give or take.
