Hey, you can live pretty comfortably in the armpit parts of CA on little income. Don't know why you'd want to live in any of it but I suppose an undiagnosed medical condition is as good an excuse as any

 

My 7.3 has started to weap and leave its mark in the storage unit. Luckily it is at the drain plug, so a new crush washer is all it needs. Luckily, this leak only started after I replaced the washer....the first time I've replaced the washer in any vehicle I've owned. Fucking ironic.

I got very lucky to walk out with no student loans. Ironic to work with other engineers who have degrees and student loans, who basically make less than the front line folks because of the debt they are saddled with. Sure they make more but at what cost?

 

Im torn between selling my 7.3 and getting a 15-16 6.7 or just building the motor a bit. This would be a couple years down the road either way. Tough decision.

 

If there existed a factory Cummins can I would've looked for one, but they didn't so PSD it is. There are 6.6 vans out there but so rare the price of entry isn't worth it.

That's a really good line item when your customer base is "diesel people". Got to wheel with an aftermarket diesel parts provider and hearing him rag on how dumb his customers are was hilarious.
