If the cabin has an air filter ... does that mean there is a special filter for just the oil that needs to be changed? If so, how often should it be changed? o_O:notsure::crapstorm:

@TXsandyTaco I can't believe I've never thought to polish the glass, but that's a good idea! How often do you do it (or plan to if this is the first time)? Just the windshield or the windows too?

The very idea of a windshield that clean, and a windshield that lasts long enough to polish is utterly beyond my comprehension. I just wash the windshield every time I fill up (and usually in between) and can stretch the lifespan of a windshield to 2 years if I ignore all the cracks that don't pass directly in front of my vision.

First time I’ve done it and it makes a world of difference (of course you then must also clean the inside with a good streak free cleaner). Some suggest clay baring it first so you are sure to remove any stuck on debris. Lots of YouTube vids out there on this..also totally removes water spots. Some also apply a glass sealer after polishing but I haven’t tried that. I will be doing all my glass (maybe not the rear) I’m guessing every 6 months…I’ll see how long it holds up!

I'm gonna look into this, watch some yt vids. I keep my glass pretty clean bc dirty glass drives me crazy, but polishing will take it to the next level! Thanks!

I wish that were a simple fix for me. Mines all pitted from the blowing dust/dirt. I'm going to need to replace the glass eventually.

Those look great! And make me want to spend the money on a good welder vs buying a set already made.

You would be amazed how much you can do with just a $150 flux core welder from harbor freight. I've done so many small projects with mine and works great, plus it stores away in a tote bin with all my welding gear so it doesn't take up a lot of garage space.

Thanks! Once you have a welder and a little skill, projects like this will pop up all the time, and the scope of what you can accomplish on your truck will expand greatly. (Plasma cutter doesn't hurt either...)
Yep, definitely took some inspiration there!

Yes, I highly recommend. I’m a bit OCD about clean windshields and this a game changer. I’m finding water runs off more readily rather than beading and drying.

Taping off gaskets, low speed, and light pressure with 4 passes in differing directions (1/2 the screen at a time) were my biggest takeaways from the vids I watched.

I bought an RCI roof rack. Very happy with it so far and they have great sliders too. They have 10% off sliders and roof racks right now.

I did mine early September and they are still perfect. Your patience and skill with vinyl will affect how they look. But patience is most important.
