Thanks jealous of your wheels, always wanted the fake beadlocks. I know they make them again but i told myself im done modding it we all know thats usually a for now lol. I just threw on the skinnies and a new cab height topper over the older midrise i had. Went fancy with a power locking rear window very happy with it, tune is the best money you will spend on the truck take my word. I also put in a agm battery so being able to have the tune bump up the voltage on the alternator is a plus.

I honestly doubt anything will help the 4cyl... It's built for long haul reliability. It's doubtful you'll get anything substantial from headers, exhaust, trd accelerator.... You could try , but my suspicion is that it's really all just a waste of time and money.
Maybe a pedal commander might help, however I'm not really willing to throw an aftermarket electrical component into my truck... I thought about it for a while, but decided against it..... I feel like it could help with the laggy throttle response......but so does ECT. I use ECT on the highway all the time.

    $$$$$

    Lol....

I agree that rotational weight is a big focus point... I'm at less than 60 pounds per corner with wheels and tires.. I couldn't imagine being at 80-90 pounds ..

Looking good. Still rocking the Stage 2 for ICON Leaf Pack and #2 for Bilstein 5100? Just curious since you have a new topper.

How do those skinnies ride? Always wanted to try a set, but can only get them in E rated.

Yes with the tune regear and header i did all the work myself it was about 22-2500 I would spend it all over again. I forget it’s a 4banger at times.

Stage 2 icon pack with 5125 rear shocks since I did not want to swap out the rear brake lines for a longer 5100 rear shock and the fronts are 5100s set at 1.1. I leaf pack is a major upgrade over stock it holds the weight great and rides awesome

Honestly great this was my first E rated tire and it’s as quiet and comfortable as my last cooper at3 4s. I know E rated tires are known to be a harsh ride but not these Firestone XTs. Cornering is not as sharp but how the truck feels on the accelerator under load is the trade off. Truck feels significantly better with the skinny it was like walking around with heavy boots and then putting on some sandals. The trade off is slightly worse cornering but it’s a lifted truck. Mpg on my short distances have been up 2-3 a big difference which I’m not surprised since I’m less into the throttle. I will be sticking with this tire size from now on. There’s a reason why skinny 33s are popular as well less rolling resistance is felt. Funny thing is this E rated skinny is 1lb less than my previous 265/75 so weight is negligible the difference is all felt from rolling resistance.

Awesome thanks! Good to know. I drive slow, so cornering isn’t a huge issue.

I have the drop in high flow filter, hps intake arm, header, and cat back. There is a noticeable difference, and my MPG around town are better, but it’s not fast by far. The power seems steady if I need to get on it, there’s not a lull. After the upgrades, around town 20 miles per gallon is the bare minimum I get on a trip even in the winter. I’m easy on the pedal and try to catch green lights. The engine really lights up when it is super dry and cold, and you can hear the air moving from intake through the head to the exhaust. It’s a bulletproof engine. Like nyrob said, the tune is probably where it’s really at. I only have 3700 miles on it, however roughly 3200 miles of my driving I’ve had a fully loaded bed. Very happy with it.

I love that 235 look. I’m running 245’s on the geolander, but because it was the same size tire that came on the factory steelies. I remember the tire shop guy questioning my choice.
The army used to put skinnies on the jeeps for a reason.

Tune wakes up the truck especially since you have a header won’t be disappointed. The guys at OTT are actually coming out with an update on the 2.7 tune with some good changes so I would wait until then. I also removed the charcoal filter in the top of the air box. There is an intake elbow in the fender well I pulled as well. That and added the trd accelerator on the end of the box instead. Those were two cheap easy mods. Did it add power who knows probably not much but it’s smoother throughout the rev range. I would recommend that as well here’s a picture of the giant elbow in the fender well that attaches to the air box. It’s only on the 2.7 my best guess is it’s for noise. I didint notice any additional noise it’s not like the 2TR-FE is a quiet engine to begin with. I have an afe drop in too

Have you noticed more debris in the air box with the “fendertake” removed? I’ll wait on the upgraded tune after a few folks test it out first.

No extra debris in the box I pop the filter out every few months for a quick smack cleaning.

Well hey .... If you all have all those mods you might as well throw in the air accelerator. Id imagine it won't do much being as you already did the bigger upgrades for breathing. Elimination of that plastic elbow in the fender may feed a bit more air? This is on my list of things to do .. the v6 doesn't have that goofy elbow

I didn’t realize it had that massive box in the fender, yikes. Haven’t taken that apart yet. I wonder what the engineering behind that is for? Maybe to keep rodents out, or a moisture barrier?

I really think it’s noise just need to pop a few fender liner clips and it’s right there very easy to do id suggest pulling the tire just gives more room to get the pesky clips
