I feel like I only check in when a ride day is coming up ha, riding Sunday. Been good, been working on the Tacoma trying to get it out of the shop after needing to retub the firewall since it rusted out.

I think the only way we can get an accurate reading is if we just clock you on both. There's no way my riding ability would even come close to yall....yet. Lol

Swapped the cam gear cover O ring last night on the XT. When I did the cam bearing mod not long ago I noticed the sealing o ring of the cam cover was flat and hard and it was obviously leaking at some point cus the previous owner put a bunch of what looked to be moto seal on the o ring. Cleaned it up as best I could and popped in the new o ring that actually sits proud of the mating surface so it will actually seal. Brown stuff was allll over the mating surface and in the o ring groove so this is cleaned up. The rest of the brown is cooked on and going no where.

Good for the cam tensioners being replaced. Mine were also, but not an impossible job if they were not changed. Not bad for those shocks I will have to check them out. Mine are OE and just feel wore out with me and the wife on the bike, and neither one of us are large. I sold my 09 Deluxe with the 96 motor to get back to the 88. I miss the sixth gear, but for some reason I just love the 88. Not overly powerful, but does what it needs to do. Had compensator issues on the 96, changed it out and still just didn't feel right. Keep us updated on the progress.

For just wiping down plastics or tanks or whatever I've used chemical guys quick detailer, I think Cherry scented. It's been fine, no issues with it.

    Edit: this stuff https://www.chemicalguys.com/products/speed-wipe-quick-detailer-high-shine-spray-gloss

One a related note: I've also used motorex's bike pre-wash and that stuff worked great. Noticeable difference in how much dirt would just wash off without scrubbing.

actually wash? I have only gotten my BMW washed once, helping out a buddy with his detailing business. Otherwise I just sprayed it down with meguiars and wiped it off once every few months lol. But wasn't too satisfied with that

I just want something to wipe it down with. Though i did get into the bmw guts and clean up a hefty amount of built up chain sludge a few weekends ago.

perfect, i'll check it out. I remember chemical guys being the go-to in the WRX community.

the y125x i looked at the other day was listed at like 6200 and was marked down to 5500 do you think that is out the door? or is that the new starting point? btw the bike is a 2022 so its been sitting for a bit idk if i can talk down on new bikes ive never dealt with new bikes.

I think it was this stuff? I could be wrong though. I do specifically remember it having a warning to not let it sit on aluminum parts too long or it could start etching, which makes me think it was basically just simple green with the priced jacked up

I think they used to be pretty niche, but they're mainstream now. Walmart might actually have that cleaner in normal stores, they started carrying their line a year or two ago. Hardcore detailers (random subreddits) would probably cry about recommending it, but hey, it works well enough for my cheap ass and it smells good
