Make sure to add rpms and injection timing cylinder 1 D4 to the graph.

I just need to make sure the all/primary is selected in the drop down before starting, correct? Then select those after the fact when viewing graphs?

Yes, use all or look through other options to see if d4s pids available.
Drive around, if you stop in traffic and hear some noise, hit a space bar. It will flag the event in the capture.

Nice. Does this create a single flag? I don't have to toggle it like some kind of on/off flag type thing?

Each hit on the space bar creates a flag. Also, techstream has a feature to setup an auto flag based on some criteria, but I was not able to get it working in my case.

Well F**K me. I just tried to load a fresh install of the VFtune software and it completely bricked my existing install and will not open VFTune at all. I knew I should have written down my license info beforehand. Now I probably have to contact Matt at OVTune to see about getting it set up again. This should be fun as I was one of the first M/T guys to buy the tune with the purple dongle back in the fall of 2017 and have no records of the purchase.

ETA I am downloading the legacy VFTune 1.7.X Should I be downloading 2.0WiFlash?

Update I did a complete uninstall of all previous VFtune installs and loaded Version 1.7.x and all is well. Truck is flashed and a short test drive to make sure I get to work in the morning. Roads are snow packed and icy so a thorough test drive will have to wait. Initial impression is it feels stronger down low with smooth throttle response I loaded the premium Active duty file.

I switched from 'WW' to 'AD' last night and was pleasantly surprised. I would have actually liked a touch more throttle sensitivity off idle, seems just a bit sluggish to get to a usable RPM to get going from a stop - but otherwise I think it works rather well with MT.

I got that feeling as well but wasn't sure if it was just me being careful on icy roads in my slippers instead of my boots...lol

I did a few days with WW and switched yesterday to AD. It's a more fun(ner) tune.

Each iteration is getting better and better. I need to put some miles on the AD tune to give a workout and for it to learn my driving habits.

I had only about 24 hours with WW 2.0, when I first took off with that I about killed it getting out of the garage - and then again when I went to AD, I was expecting it to be way touchier and almost killed it again.

Are these “you get what you get” and I just need to get used to it, or does Marc, et al, tailor a bit to taste? Really happy overall, just that last little detail, but I can deal with it if needed.

On that note - is this “final draft” for Blackhawk as we move to the 4G era, or is development continuing?

I only tried WW but I almost killed it multiple times as well. Was not a fan of that part of 2.0. Original Blackhawk was not like that, so not sure why it changed to be how it is in the update.

Every tune that I have ever tried all take a bit of an adaption. A crazy, super linear throttle test took a week to get used to from a muscle memory standpoint. You gotta give it at least 150mi to 200mi to get used to it.

I do not like raise the revs to get rolling. This 2.0 tunes seem close at the very bottom end, but I do not need to add revs to get rolling.

We strove to make the take-off more tame for as many people as possible on BOTH throttle versions because we had a lot of people report from testing that they were wanting the touchiness of AD deeper in the pedal but with a more "WW-like tip in", so we accommodated that. If this needs adjustment for you guys, please email us

When I get a chance I will plug in the prior AD version for reference before nagging you. WW was a nice improvement over stock, but my Goldilocks tune may very well be 2.0 with the earlier AD tip-in. I would wager the MT guys would err towards a bit more aggressive settings than the AT crew..a lot harder for them to kill/bog it from a stop, hah.

Funnily enough though it does seem like it is hard to kill. Only time I have actually killed it is at a long stop when I forgot to pop it in neutral and then let the clutch out. Does the ECU sense revs dropping way below idle and attempt to keep it alive? It kind of seems like it..it seems way too forgiving to be “all natural” for lack of better terminology.

That dead throttle feeling seemed to improve with driving and the tune settling in after a few miles today. OR I just got used to the feeling of the new tune and it became the new normal. It doesn't want to bog down as much as when first installed and throttle seems very responsive to input without being too aggressive. So far I am liking it and the power down lower in the rpm range is very apparent,at least for my truck.

reading lots of input on BH2 from the MT users - what do those of you on BH2 with AT think about the two tunes (WW and AD) and how they drive. Just curious. TIA.

@mZiggy when is the 2.0 being released for us supercharged folks? Been running one of the betas for 8 months and it's been good. Looking forward to the official release.
