    It’s closer to 3 mins because it’s 1.8kwh, not 1800.

but that shouldn’t be a problem because there are very few times you’re using max power at max rpm for 3 minutes at a time without any lifting off the throttle, let alone your scenario of an hour long pull.

An hour long pull at 60mph and 6% grade would be 19,000ft of climbing. There’s nowhere in the world that scenario makes sense.

Yep you right. 1800wh battery on a 36000w motor.

    math :smack:

Grapevine is pretty long. Going to tahoe is a few miles. Climbing up 5 to Oregon is more than a 10 minute jaunt.

There are a lot of long hauls up mountains in California and I imagine other places too.

Towing mind you. In my 3rd gen Ill have it locked in 2nd or 3rd gear screaming at 5k to get up some hills around here that take at least 20 min.

Long hauls, yes. How many times have you pulled them entirely at max power output? That would be full throttle at ~6000rpm. My bet is that the times you’re actually using more than ~200hp are limited to far less than 3 mins. Even towing the grapevine with my trailer in my 4cyl first gen I’m not pushing that hard for that long

but even if you do absolutely drain it, you still have the same amount of power you currently do.

I'd just like to know where a sustantial hill is in the lower 48 that takes and hour or so to climb at the speed limit? Sounds like a blast to ride one of my motorcycles on.

LOL.. been on the (Dragon) and many others in the appalacia area.. the Dragon is near flat and extremely short...don't forget about back of the dragon and the triple nickle (Hwy 555) is pretty fun too,, better than the dragon IMO.. Run up to the top of Mount Evans in CO (highest paved road in the USA) is a blast on a super moto, probably the most dangerous I've been on due to road conditions, no side rails and certain death if you lave the road.. ie no trees to stop you from cartwheeling thousands of feet Hwy 141 in CO is great too.. but no significant elevation change. Hwy 550 (million dollar hwy) in CO is great fun when not plagued with tourists. How about Cheif Joseph Hwy in WY and Bear tooth on the way up.. remote and minimal traffic..

My 200 mile sumo road ride in the hills of WI is fantastic with zip traffic.. some tighter curves than the dragon, more elevation change, more blind corners, deer in the fall and well it is 200 miles long so one can dispense of your race rubber shortly and takes much more skill than than a memorized short dragon ride with tourists slowing you down or coming over the solid line in curves.

Wondering if the drive up from Sacramento to north Lake Tahoe on I80 would take an hour.. maybe at the speed limit..LOL

These are only a few of the many I've turned tires on .. now the drive on the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo where the French Grad Prix is run is fanstic but I was spinning tires on a rental at the time I was there. The beaches on the French Riviera didn't dissappoint the eyes either.

Because they are broke losers who want truck just to seem like they actually do something with it. Prius is for people like that , BUT no. They must have a truck to not do anything truck does.

What technology, we are talking about Trucks made of steel frame to be used. We aren't talking about SUVs here or Sedans that need technology , which is what makes them expensive.

If you aren't using truck to make money or at least somehow be happy with it, then you don't need it. Go buy a Maverick and save money on fuel, at least you won't be blaming V6 in truck for it.

Absolutely ridiculous, imagine buying something big over 4K lbs, steel frame, made to tow & haul ASS and then complaining about bad MPG.

People biching about uncomfortable drive, noises, rough bumps, oh no the door is too harsh for my soft hands... Oh no i am too weak to lift the steel hood! OMG THE TRUCK HAS BAD MPG I CAN'T GO TO GROCERY STORE OR DO UBER. You guys are reason why trucks are expensive now days and are like small SUVs almost.

Yall should stop biting bigger piece than you can chew, go buy a MAVERICK, it was made for people who want mpg and truck that looks like truck but isn't. I feel yall MPG hugger dudes should have been born with air bags on chest.

Tell us how you really feel.

Wanting to get halfway decent gas mileage out of a midsize truck isn’t too much to ask for. When full size trucks get better mpgs than a midsize there is a problem.

So the hybrid only kicks in a full throttle? I guess I dont understand how it works. I assumed it would start helping earlier than full throttle and redline.

Who tows at race speeds? Do you guys drive trucks? A steep hill and a load will limit your speed and in these trucks your ability to get out of 2nd gear often. Granted groceries are fairly easy to haul for you guys.

It will scale to demand well below full throttle, but would only run out of juice if there’s no “overhead” available in power output from the ice side

I just picked up my new '24 today. It's my first tank, so won't keep stats on this one. However, I drive 60 miles a day commute, all highway, ranging from 55-70 mph, so will do some testing at speed limits and then again at +7/8. I'm in Louisiana, so all flat.
