The "no thanks, I don't want to get worse mileage" killed me...dude wants to chop up his truck to SAS it but is worried about 32s killing his mileage.

That and the "few hundred dollars" budget to make it happen, just gonna sit back and watch this one unfold.

 

My ADHD knows no bounds

I went through my plastic totes, looking for a cell battery to replace the CMOS on the motherboard

I ended up opening my welding hoods; one uses AAAA, and the other uses too thick of a button cell

I'm now wiping down the non-removable parts of the auto dimming glass and replacing the plastic throw-aways

 

Yeah, I guess my curiosity was really getting to me to find out "how he thinks" but I'm going to chalk it up to him being a kid and maybe having a 110 flux core welder available to him (with no experience)

 

turns out 6-8 weeks was optimistic, was told to wait 2~ weeks between each round of interviews. I've already done 3 and they mentioned that there's 4 more

Hypothesis: Software companies have discovered that they can use unpaid prospective candidates to do the actual dev work for them as part of their ‘interview process’:

“We just need you to put the finishing touches on this project as…, um…, you know… a follow up interview or something.

You DO want this job, right?”

 

And now he works at a coffee shop

 

I think I recall in one their threads something about a TDI swap and access to shop tools at their school, or something like that. So being young and not willing to listen to seasoned logic tracks.
